Contacted Brandon Benner on an immigration matter in June of 2013. What should have been a straightforward process turned into a foot dragging ordeal where Mr Benner had little idea how to proceed. Had very little knowledge of immigration law and no apparent interest in educating himself. He did, however, know how to collect his fee in advance. In the end, I finally resolved my immigration issue on my own and I am out his $1500 fee with nothing to show for it. Mr Benner gives his entire profession a black eye.

Attorney Benner has never communicated with us and it took us several tries to even get him to call us back. After eight months, we have yet to receive any type of word on our simple, one step case. Every time we try to get an update, we are met with very lame excuses about how he hasn't heard anything. We make the suggestion that he check with the judge then he says okay he will do that and let us know a few days later. After waiting for several weeks, WE had to call him back and were told that he would do it tomorrow. We were ill advised on what documents we needed to bring with us to court. When the judge requested these documents from him, he LIED to the judge and told them they were in his office; but he had never asked us for them. I would advise everyone to seek another lawyer. You are better off doing it yourself, which is what we should have done. I wouldn't hire him to shovel the snow--it wouldn't be done until August! Stay away!
