I've known Samantha for nearly three years as she represented me in a complex divorce and child custody case. I cannot say enough about her level of skill and professionalism. She is diligent and detail oriented. She has vast knowledge of a wide range of issues, whether I needed her counsel on tax and financial matters, or legal issues related to parenting and custody. But most of all, Samantha is compassionate and collaborative in the way she works with her clients, offering choices and supports that go well beyond legal counsel. It is that personal, individualized approach that makes her a superb lawyer. I am so grateful to the person who referred me to Samantha, and I highly recommend her to others.

I hired Ms. Simpson to represent me in a high conflict very adversarial family matter related to custody/parenting time. My child’s father is a lawyer himself and had hired several high profile lawyers. He was relentless is the many legal applications he fired at me and Ms. Simpson successfully won each one. She was honest with me regarding projected costs and realistic about the potential odds (which weren’t in our favour). Most importantly, Ms. Simpson kept my child’s needs at the centre of the issues and articulated them perfectly to the judge. At each hearing she was organized, articulate and highly skilled. Ms. Simpson’s demeanour before the court was always highly professional and knowledgeable. She has the unique ability to advocate for her clients passionately yet reasonably. My child is now thriving and able to cope with the parenting schedule. I highly recommend Ms. Simpson.

Samantha Simpson was as hard working a person as they come.You pay a lot for JML where she works, but you get very very hard knowledgeable work for that money in return. Sam cared about the well being of my daughter at every turn. Truly. I do not believe any post on here that suggests otherwise. there is just no way that is a legitimate characterization of Mrs Simpson from my experience. She never held back from challenging my assessment of the situation if she felt it did not serve my child's best interest. My situation was a custodial issue over the time distribution of our child. It is such a long, expensive, and exhaustive process to sort anything out over court. It can be easy to let things escalate unnecessarily. Sam was always very measured in every action we took and she carefully weighed what the impact would be on our family relationship and our child with that of the best interests of my case.I highly recommend Sam and am highly skeptical of these negative posts.

I hired Samantha Simpson and all she wanted to do was berate and embarrass my son's father... I can’t believe allowed this woman to create so much anger and negativity as my child's "advocate" It seems clear to me that all the glowing testimonies gushing about this person are spin control from either herself or people that work for her. If you want to add hostility and ego to your child's case, then hire this woman... she will not disappoint, and believe me, she has no moral integrity what so ever.

Samantha Simpson from JML came across as incredibly knowledgeable in my initial consultation. I immediately signed on with her as I felt her years of experience would be beneficial. Over a year and after $40,000 in legal bills with her, I am no further ahead than when I first met with her for the initial consult. I have no separation agreement and no custody agreement. Throughout the time I used her, she assured me that certain options were on my side when in fact they were not. Overcharged and purposely made extra work to bill me for. She made multiple mistakes in my court filed documents which later needed to be amended and I myself had to write up an affidavit for myself which she just proof read and submitted. I was incredibly displeased with her and would not recommend her services.
