Jack represented me through legal aid, I have been on bail 8months with trial scheduled in 3 months, he has negotiated with the crown to explore options and it was detirmined we will go to trial, the crown has chosen to withdraw its case, He kept me informed during total process and my thoughts and opinions on aspects of the matter taken into consideration,but he is a no nonsense guy,his words can be very direct and stern if you lose site of the direction things are going. I was skeptical getting legal aid, I read the reviws on this site,I worried very limited time or interest would be put in but he was very detailed when discussing my disclosure,a lengthy one,it was obvious he went through it in detail, I am very happy with the outcome,his work got it there, and I was confident proceeding to trial with him if that occurred.

Jack was the worst lawyer I've ever hired, and I've hired a few. He talked a big game, but when we got to court he was like a scared silent little puppy. He didn't represent my case at all or what was happening to my child, so as a result my child was put more in danger. He did absolutely nothing but handed me a huge bill. He gives lawyers a bad name. He is clearly in it just for the money. I would never reccomend him to anyone

He was a Legal Aid lawyer for my children. I don’t know from where he took, that I was addicted to drugs and an alcohol, but wrote it in his letter to the court. My children disclosed being beaten by their father and that they were feeling safe with me. Their father is an addict, convicted in the past for harassment and uttering threats. He wrote, that our relationship was stormy. I absolutely do not recommend this lawyer.

worst lawyer I have ever had. Talks a big talk and makes promises he doesn't keep. Goes into court and does nothing to stick up for your case and then charges you for every little thing. Worst family lawyer out there

DO NOT HIRE HIM. He bull face lied to our faces saying he would help get more visitation with my daughter and it would be police informed if needed. He did the COMPLETE OPPOSITE as I was at work and he had to stand for me thinking he was a good lawyer and had MY DAUGHTERS well being at heart he did NOT. I have seen my daughter maybe twice since last year he made it so my ex doesn't have to tell me anything about my daughter can take her wherever she wants and do whatever she wants. He refuses to help me any further and expects 10,000 for doing NOTHING. I trusted him, I honestly thought he would help my situation and all he did was make it worse. TO TOP IT ALL OFF he was making and taking phone calls with my ex the ENTIRE TIME PRIOR TO COURT WHICH I THOUGHT WAS CONFLICT OF INTEREST! He was best friends with my ex lawyer whom they did law school together and i WOULD NEVER recommend him to anyone. HES A JOKE.

not a good family law lawyer. someone who tells his client that they are mentally ill and does not seem to stand up for his clients in court.. in a year and a half only accomplished one thing for a client. do not hire him

way to laid back needs to be more aggressive and force the other ones hand much sooner on less the courts have a step by step procedure in place that prevents this . No one should be suffering the way I have been over the last 9 months because of the incorrect information that the other lawyer told the judge and my lawyer never told the judge that it was a lie , or what ever one must say to intervene. because of that I have been sleeping in my truck for nine months getting weaker by the month this should not take this long

18K and nothing done, Talks a big storm before you hire him yet in court he says nothing, does nothing.. DO NOT WASTE YOU MONEY. He is the worst DIVORCE lawyer. You will loose everything and you will also be paying the costs of of your ex's lawyer too.

5 months and $4500 later and nothing was done. I currently have a claim against him with the law society for conduct unbecoming a lawyer and professional. He charged me $30 for his phone to ring and me hanging up. I didn't leave a message at all. No eithics at all.

I was very disappointed with Jacks service, or should I say lack of service. I retained Jack for divorce and custody of my children. Every time he appeared in court for me, I had to call him to find out what went on. He never called me once offering information on the case and in fact when I called I was charged for every minute I talked to hime. Charged even for every paper copied and I'm sure staple used. After my court case had been thrown out due to the other party not attending, Jack didn't call me back to see what I wanted to be done. Again I called and he said well it was thrown out. He assured me he would have it brought back to court. Meanwhile my kids were in a poor situation and being neglected. I again asked Jack if it were better for me to call child services to get my children back since the court matter isn't working....he said he advised strongly against it because I could lose my kids to welfare and fight for them through there. In the end I got them back on my own

This is one dirty lawyer. Hire jack to represent me in a divorce action and was the worst experience of my life. I get the fact that divorces are adversarial in nature but to have such an unethical coward for a lawyer. Jack did not represent my legal and/or financial interests. Jack refused to make court applications "knowing" it would fail. Jack would forward emails with a simple "what do you think?" (I often received several emails at once and some from 8-9 months prior. Jack seldom gave advice & advice given was bad advice.(His advice would have cost me $25.000 evidenced in the house buyout). I am a disabled person and Jack was not willing to secure interim s.s order. Then, filed a notice of withdrawal, a trial date was scheduled a month later. Deserted at the 11 hr. What I received from this lawyer @ Laurier Law was slipshod at best.. THE OLD SAYING "there's nothing more expensive than a cheap lawyer". He as well crossed professional/personal boundaries with a hug & kiss. Yikes
