Excellent work. Dedicated, responsible, highly motivated and kind. Took everything I asked for and got it for me. Usually I am treated badly because I have mental illness. This law firm was very organized. All the lawyers and staff were helpful and called me back. Best help I have ever got.

Anita Szigeti is Canada's leading Mental Health lawyer and really lives up to that name. The work that she does in this area is second to none. She is a strong and zealous advocate for all her clients and always endeavours to give realistic and practical legal advice. Anita has a great team who are always ready to assist and are very generous with their time and advice. Her associate Maya Kotob is a forceful advocate for all the clients she represents. I would strongly recommend Anita Szigeti and her firm - you’re in great hands!

I’m very impressed with all the work that Anita Szigeti and her firm does. Anita’s commitment to protecting the rights of all her clients is truly unparalleled. She is also very committed to diversity. I’ve had very positive interactions with her articling student Aakanksha Chauhan, who speaks in Hindi and is able to able to assist clients in those languages. I also understand that Anita’s associate is an Arabic speaking lawyer. I’m really impressed and happy with all the work this firm does and their commitment to help individuals from all backgrounds.

I am extremely disappointed with Anita Szigeti because I was recommended to her firm but was directed to a semi-competent upstart lawyer named Mya Kotob from her firm who could barely do her job properly and caused me to lose a consent and capacity hearing which was horrible for me and my family since I was being wrongly held in a forensic hospital when I was not even Not Criminally Responsible since the Court of Appeal overturned the verdict. She should have the willingness to represent me without directing me to incompetent and very inexperienced counsel who works for her firm like mya kotob who could not do her job competently. Antita Szigeti should have the respect and kindness to want to represent me when I was in a difficult situation like I was in. You try sufferring at penetang when you are not even Not Criminally Responsible and the Court of Appeal overturned the verdict!

A true manipulator of VULNERABLE people; this woman lacks compassion and will drag on capacity hearings for endless hours and days, without genuine concern for involuntarily hospitalized human beings so SHE can continue taking millions from tax payers through Legal Aid Ontario. A multi-millionaire lawyer who works the system for HERSELF. Far too many hospital staff, doctors and people suffering health issues DO NOT LIKE or RESPECT her at all. Regretably, Anita Szigeti "co-operates" with a few government funded agents which keep promoting her name onto hospitalized individuals who are incapable and/or too trusting of "THE SYSTEM" designed to protect government and doctors alike. A VERY SAD SITUATION for regular people merely seeking to maintain their dignity and liberty.

Anita has done amazing work on behalf of people with mental health issues. She does not compromise her clients' rights to win the approval of the more powerful people on the other side, she truly practices client instructed advocacy. (She also bills LAO more economically than any other bills I've seen.)

Anita knows extremely well how to bill taxpayers through Legal Aid; yet her service to people is ALL ABOUT ANITA and how much more she can bill. Appearance, presentation and stench of cigarette smoke is disgusting. Full of self-importance and talks forever on how valuable she is; never capable/ willing to demonstrate " insights " to herself being highly money driven with a chronic poisonous personality DISORDER. Best AVOID when possible by FIRMLY INSTRUCTING HOSPITAL AGENTS TO LOCATE A MORE GENUINE PUBLIC SERVICE lawyer paid through Legal Aid.

Anita is well respected by her peers, physicians, judges and tribunals. She argued precedent setting cases and gets excellent results for her client. She is one of the few lawyers who specializes in mental health and is known as a fearless and tenacious advocate for those appearing before mental health tribunals and in the courts.

Excellent lawyer, not many people care about the mentally ill but Anita certainly does and works hard and successfully to ensure our rights are not violated.
