Arthur Stern is an outright thief and a liar. He charged me 220,000.00 for something that 50,000 would have been enough. I finally had to get another lawyer to get the mater dealt with. He paid me back 40,000.This is a long story so I will just finish it off by saying he still owes me 60,000 since he received 100,000 in cash.

I appreciate every comment written. On the other hand I was charged with assault and had no money at the time. I was referred to Mr. Stern and he got the charge dropped. Yes, he works with law students. Yes, his fees are high. Yes, he defers cases. Yes, he does not meet in any office however he is very thorough. I had to transfer about $150 per pay at the time because I had nothing when I was going through my divorce. If I missed a payment he was not pushing me for a payment. We communicated via text and he took care of the case. I never went back to court and my record is clean today. No one is perfect but you spoke your truth and that is important. He helped me and I am grateful for this man. I am still in contact with him today. All the best and I am sorry that your experience was not the greatest. I, on the other hand was not paid to leave this comment. I found this review online and felt like leaving my comment.

Arthur Stern is the best lawyer I have ever known. he is a professional in his field and the person who has done everything by his heart and God sake. My appreciation.

Dump truck....not worth a penny. Had a case that should have been dropped but he was to lazy to get witness statements...also made a deal with a judge behind my back which ended up in me serving time I shouldn’t have as well as gave me no notification that I was going to be taken into custody which left me with several issues...almost lost my dog because of it. He is a real scumbag stereotypical lawyer.

Quite awhile ago I hired this guy to help me out with some false accusations.The only reliable thing about Arthur is squeezing money out of his clients. I have no judgment about his professional skills for the reason of their absence. I was under impression that he is of a lazy type. Lazy to move his ass and do his job, but very energetic when it comes to money. I'll not recommend this "lawyer" to anyone. Well, unless there are no other lawyer in the whole province. Don't waste your money.

Was falsely accused in a domestic situation. Arthur found me, helped me get bail even though it was a challenge due to the false statements made by my ex. He wasn't cheap, but he was very effective, and knows his way around a courtroom. After the bail hearing, we spent an hour or more at his office going over the case. He referred me to his associate, who did a great job.

I had a reckless driving charge and he fought to lower it to careless driving, which allowed me to drive and have car insurance. He was totally professional and is an overall great guy. Any negative reports here are probably people who don't want to pay. Disregard these negative comments.

Just for money, almost doing nothing, take my case about half year that he said to me just took about 2-3 weeks.

Would give him 0 rating if I could. As people already explained in here, it's true. He's nice once you retain him. Then he keeps expecting 250+ just to adjourn matter. Not even handling the case. He's a lowlife who isn't a real lawyer. Doesn't meet you at offices, thinks all his clients are guilty etc. Stay away from this guy he's not worth it. You could do better by yourself or find ANYBODY ELSE, THIS IS NOT A REAL LAWYER BEWARE OF HIM. Thank God I dropped him when I did. I've never been spoken to by such disrespect from someone who WORKS FOR YOU. This guy is a low scum, all he expects is money with no work done. The positive reviews on here must be set up. Because all the negative comments is 100% accurate representation of who this man really is. The bar should strip him of being a lawyer. All he does is offload work to law students (and for a heafty price aswell)

He approaches people at court trying to reel in as many suckers as possible. At 1st he's the nicest guy you've ever met. Once you retain and start paying him, he take a complete 180. Had an agreement to take on my case. Once I started paying him he kept wanting more and more when all he did was only adjourn my case 2 times. He pretty much told me if I don't pay the rest in full soon he would no longer represent me. He practically stole $1000 from me doing absolutely nothing. What a teribble human being this guy is. Beware of this houndog at the courthouse!

He must have written the positive review. As a young offender, he never met me to discuss the case. He's not interested in defending the client. All he wants is easy money. Anyhow,he convinced my dad to have me plea guilty for something I wasn't guilty of. This guy must be disbarred and locked up for ruining people's lives. Awful and sad state of a lawyer.

I had a real case and he wasn't willing to defend it. Initially he seemed all genuine as if he cared but once he was presented with my defense he wasn't willing to do the work to prepare it and tried to convince me that I was guilty. Dumptruck lawyer to the max! And separately, He took my money (cash) and never gave me a receipt.

Great lawyer. Was able to help my family with no problem. Has a big heart and always kind when speaking. Made sure that we understood everything that was going on and was able to call when there was question. Definitely I would used him again. Only downside is fees are high, but you get what you pay for.

My brother was charged with a minor possession charge and we went to the court house. He didn't know us, but decided to help us. He did not ask for compensation but did it out of the goodness of his heart. Highly recommended.
