Did a poor job on my case, did not communicate, did not help on what mattered, did not understand the issues, and made major mistakes. No empathy and treats people like****, even her own staff. Costs a fortune which would be fine if she gave her cases 100% of her efforts but she gives it more like 20%. Also was not upfront about some major costs incurred for tasks that were not necessary or wanted. Unethical. I do not recommend her. She knows her law books and has lots of experience but in the end she may break you more than help you. I wish I had followed my guts and had hired someone else with less expertise but a heart at the right place.

Excellente avocate, très expérimentée et stratégique. Pas bon marché mais elle a défendu mes intérêts avec brio et tenacité. Se donne a 100%. Je suis très reconnaissante de son aide. Je n'aurais pas pu espérer de meilleurs résultats.

This is by far the best lawyer I have ever seen. I feel the other raters did not meet the lawyer I have met. Smart, strategic, devoted, she put all of her heart and time into my case who was not an easy one. She is very knowledgable and knew what to do to help win our case, which we did. Overall it was pricey but we could not have done it without her. Her plead was very strong and her reputation is well known by the other lawyers. My friend had her and she was very satisfied. I highly highly recommend her.

worst lawyer I ever dealt with. tried to call her and email her many times to have an agreement on payments even though she didn't do anything to my case ,she never responded back to any call or email and she decided to take me to court for my overdue payment of $1100.00. She was never helpful and she changes her mind about the case and about what should be done. She wasn't prepared for the meeting when I met her the first time and she would read the emails and documents during our meeting meanwhile she's charging me for this time. Not professional at all and it's all about money with her. no one should ever use her services. she's awful.

My experience with this woman was debilitating. She was my ex husbands lawyer. This woman tried to have me committed to a mental institution and recommended to the judge that I get supervised visits once a month, for 1 hour with my 3 children. She also said that I was abusing my kids and that they were in danger by being around me. I was a victim of spousal abuse and lived in a shelter; she insisted that I couldn’t even provide a safe and decent place to live for my children, luckily the judge stopped her. Colette Sabourin will say anything to win in court. She doesn’t care about people the only thing she cares about is how much money she can collect from her victims. I told her to her face what kind of person she was and she smiled. I pray the Lord that one day, she’s made to face every life she tried to destroy, because only then will everyone realize what kind of person their dealing with. Even my ex got rid of her.

Me Sabourin came highly recommended based on her knowledge, unfortunately she rides her reputation. In over a year, charges were ambiguous and often charged three times for the same documents. The file did not advance dispite thousands of dollars in billing every month. Often not prepraed at meetings, and never seemd familliar with my case. Eventually I fired her and it felt like the best decision I could have done. Do not hire this lawyer, she is well past her prime.

I agree with all the above comments. Second guesses clients, has no confidence in the client. Costs are unsupported. I ended up actually firing her before she took me to the "cleaners" and lost my case. Alter with this one ...

Not only this lawyer tried to charche me : " for an attempt to reach me via my friend" ???? but also sent me via email CONFIDENTIAL letter about other couple and child involved...so be the judge

This lawyer was very hard to get a hold of and I would have to continually update her on the details of my case. Invoice was vague and I did not feel the amount of time billed to me was accurate. I basically felt as though I was just one of many cases and this lawyer had not interest in helping me. My first impression was favorable, but once I agreed to use her, dealing with her became difficult.

High priced, increased rates just before trial without warning and applied rates retroactively. did not read documents, was not prepared, did not respond to emails. She did not do what I asked her to do or tell me why she didn't do it, but, on the contrary, reassured me that she WOULD do it. When it became apparent she didn't know what was going on, it was the day before trial.
