I completely disagree with the negative review comments on the basis of my own personal experience with Doug Holl’s legal services. I also think that he’s the best, knowledgeable, honest, hard-working and reasonably priced lawyer. During the process, he would provide timely updates and recommendations on the next steps. Whereas most lawyers I had initially approached suggested that there was no point pursuing my case, Doug took it on and provided reassurance that he would win, and he did! Like most on this forum, I was of the rushed mindset wanting the case to be finalized very soon. I learned that when it comes to legal matters – you just have to be patient and trust your lawyer, and yes it took a long time but the wait was worthwhile, and at the end of it all I was very impressed! If any legal issue is not within his practice, Doug would quickly admit and also provide referrals for your consideration. I would highly recommend Doug, for any issues within his legal practice areas.

Been trying to call him for almost a year concerning our case. He refuses to call us back. Keeps sending emails instead. Will not respond to direct questions. Has no interest in helping us. Just took our money! We email him every month and receive the same vague response. Pir case has been ongoing for a year and we have no idea if he even has contacted he other party because he refuses to answer questions about it. Terrible terrible experience.

He took my case even though several lawyers turned me down. He was there for me every time that I wanted to talk. He fought hard for me, and got me a better result than I could have expected.I am very happy that I hired him

My experience with this lawyer is that he is very knowledgeable,conscientious, and able to discover options for the best course of action. I found him to be quite accessible whenever I had questions or wanted to discuss my case. He entirely concerned himself with my legal problems and worked hard to have them addressed. He was able to get me a settlement and resolve my legal issues within a reasonable amount of time. I highly recommend him.

Terrible lawyer do not recommend to anyone to use. Does not work in best interest of client. Does not return phone calls, yet depends deposit ASAP. With no work being done regarding the matter as to which he was hired for. He offen responded with stating that his was out of town, or sick. I have reported him to Alberta Barr Society. Again please do not hire him, it will not be in your best interest. If you have hired him, and unable to get your money back advise him you will report him and/or will proceed with legal matter. Very sad that someone in this position does not act in best interest of his client nor hold to standard of ethics.

He doesn't have anyone answering phone. All calls to office and cell go to voicemail. He takes your money and nothing happens for months because he's doing other things. When you text or email it can take days before you get response, if you get one. Very unprofessional.
