Miss Sherry is rude, arrogant, incompetent and only cares to make money. She indicates so much unnecessary extras are needed just to earn more money. She doesn’t study your case so when gets up in court, she has no relevent information so she tries and buries opposing counsel with legalities. She is personally mean and vendictive to anyone that crosses her whether her own clients or the opposing counsels clients. During court her calculations of overpayments of section 3 were so out to lunch that the judge asked her how she passed a bar if she couldn’t do simple math. Other lawyers sneer or make distasteful comments when gearing her name so she has given herself a poor reputation in the lawyer world as well. If you want someone who will take every penny you have and not deliver, she’s your girl!

Leigh is a fierce advocate but also looks for efficient ways forward on her files. She applies a perfect balance of resolution-mindedness and litigation prowess to ensure optimal results for clients. Despite that she is a Liverpool FC fan, I strongly recommend Leigh.

Leigh is very rude, arrogant, and full of herself. In fairness, she is a knowledgeable lawyer but she has nearly non-existence compassion or ethics. She also interrupts opposing counsel in court, which is terrible. Comes across as a mean person. If you want a bully type of a lawyer, she is for you.

Does it sound like Leigh Sherry wrote the last comment? It speaks for itself. I had her as a lawyer; and wasn’t satisfied. I went to 4 consults with known family lawyers in town. Only 2 had heard of her. 1 said “she’s still in family law?” Sometimes you need more than $500 shoes and skill at manipulation and need to know the law and work with the other lawyer to save ME money - not make HER FIRM it. I left. She’ll post a comment a week after this no doubt. They should verify IP addresses more. There’s just something off about that whole firm. Money, money, money is all they care about. I care about my kids. That’s the difference.

I am a career professional and dedicated father that has dealt with a very high conflict custody and child alienation campaign for years. After retaining two other prominent family law attorneys over the years previous, Leigh restored my faith in an arguably flawed family law system. Ms Sherry was presented with my file at a very volatile moment in time, with a very low probability of saving the my custody, child access, or being able to add value given the circumstance. She exceeded my expectations, moved the file forward for for my son, protected access and his rights to his father. As a member of the oldest family law firm in Calgary, Leigh has earned her status there in my view, certainly earned my respect and absolute trust with my case. Must notably, Leigh Sherry has three dominant and natural strengths that set her apart from the rest; 1-attention to detail of the law and its every 2-an extremely strategic mind 3- a tenacity to for her clients, taking cases she cares about.

Excels at the consult - and drags out consultation - which you pay at end on purpose - for no reason. Sadly, that’s her best performance - then the letters and adjournments start. What should be a 6 month exercise is 2 years. Be careful.

I lost my daughter because of picking Leigh. The other side offer more before Court. She arrogantly promised that we could “beat that” at Court - and $35,000 later - guess what, we didn’t. She’s awkward in Court and does not convey confidence - as though she’s looking at the file for the first time. She cost me everything. All that money and she ran a pointless Trial and lost. And Iost on that money due to failed promises and Joe I’m an every other weekend date. Thanks Leigh. I hope you enjoy being paid for literally nothing. Watch out about no set amount consults - they seem to milk it for 2 hours for nothing. And they charge when they photocopy’s piece of osier hit :) cents.

I have used Leigh Sherry for a 2year very messy Divorice which involved kids. She always answered all my hundreds of calls and was able to answer my questions and put me at ease or calm me down. She was able to get me everything that I wanted and kept me level headed. In front of the judge she was well spoken and very knowledgeable. I would definitely use her again (hopefully will never have to) but will and have recommended her to my friends. She’s a great lawyer.

I wasted what little I had, on nothing. I gave her a 2 in communication because about all she did it manage to charge a 1/2 of time to send me a letter from the other lawyer. I wish I would have just done on my own. I would have been better off. Watch this firm for consult too. Won’t give you a set price and they try and run up the cost. Should have been the first red flag.

She gets her facts wrong (lies) in court. Judge compared her manner to a piranha and admonished her for delays.

Ms.Sherry gave me fantastic law advice and helped me through one of the hardest times of my life. Nobody wants to be at the divorce lawyer (kind of like the dreaded dentist) but I felt at peace with all decisions while there and she helped me so much in terms of the best interest of our kids. She didn't waste my time whilst at the same time took the care to make sure I fully understood everything. She did a great job and I have since recommended her to a friend.

I can now speak as my case with ANOTHER lawyer has settled.She is so into herself and is narcissistic..stay away!! tell you one thing..then does a 360 head spin!!She is very RUDE,cost me way too much money then told me she would take me to court and take my house away to pay "her".Ms Sherry cost me money...and I got nothing I had to hire a COMPETENT lawyer. RUN RUN RUN !!

Presented pretty good at consult. After she got retainer, things were different. If or when I did hear from her, it was me following up on things she promised to do but didn't. There are better out there. Billing for nothing was my take away.

Ms. Sherry will promise you the world and then will do a 360 turn and change her entire strategy, not for your benefit. She is very forgetful, rude, acquiesce and I would never recommend her to anyone. She moves along with your case and explains none of it, she just assumes you know what to do and what is to come. Luckily I found a more competent Lawyer.
