She missed a deadline, took weeks to respond despite my asking her for updates, was unable to complete a parenting plan in over 6 months (when I switched lawyers, it was completed in about 2 weeks), told me conflicting information, and charged me hundreds of dollars to prepare my file when I finally got brave enough to get a new lawyer! I feel like she was unethical when I paid for her time towards creating a parenting plan and then she insisted that we have my ex pay her lawyer to draw up the first draft of the parenting plan. Not only do I feel like I didn't get services I paid for, but I found out my ex's lawyer is Kym's personal friend...seems to me like she took my money toward the parenting plan and then got money for her friend to do the same! These lawyers brag about a collaborative model, but in my situation they actually created tension where we had initially agreed on the parenting plan and just needed lawyers to draft and then review it!

I have heard nightmare stories from different people in New Mexico about their bad experiences with Family Law attorneys. Kymberleigh Dougherty is an exceptional lawyer. She handles my case for divorce and child custody. She is organized, detailed, skilled, intelligent, passionate about her field of work, hardworking, diligent, honest, patient and dedicated to her clients. She is extremely knowledgable about the law in New Mexico and always advises fairly and righteous. Ms. Dougherty handled my case very well. She delivered above and beyond all my expectations of a lawyer. The entire staff is professional and quick to respond with diligence. I feel comfortable in saying that this law firm is one of the best if not the best in New Mexico. If you are looking for a Family Law firm with aggressive and outstanding attorneys and you want the best outcome for your case call this law firm. Really!! You will not be disappointed.
