I retained him in 2023. It has been two years and $12,000 and I have had no progress in my case. He never returns calls, does literally nothing to move things forward. I would question him on his advice, which didn’t make sense and he would suggest we end the retainer. His legal advice was 100% incorrect. He told me my support should be based on my ex husbands income but we are retired and live off our investments so he pays himself. He has all the money we invested and takes whatever he feels he needs so how can it be based on that? Also, he forever has access to all that money and I don’t?? He never once suggested how I should proceed, only asked me how I wanted to proceed. Never a mention of other options. Made no sense so I got a second opinion.I have had to find a new lawyer and pay another retainer after wasting twelve grand. He has been the worst thing that has ever happened to me. I am submitting a complaint to the Law Society of Ontario and I would encourage you to do the same

I retained Mr. Bickle to fight my ex-husband's claim to suspend child support. He started out well but quickly fizzled. The quality of work was low and the communication between the two lawyers escalated with no results. After paying almost $4000 in legal fees with no end in sight for a case that should have been clear and simple, I retained another lawyer. I do not recommend this lawyer.

Poor communication and really no empathy to the client when the system has not provided a positive result. Needs more strengths in the area of dealing in family law with a very adversarial ex-wife. When I'm waiting for answers and I'm told it was in a junk mail folder does not sound professional in the least. No apology and very "short"in answering me back. Seems a typical move to leave clients hanging for answers, in a very life changing moment in their lifes.

Be nice to get updates and some communication. The case may not seem important to Rob but its important to the client. Why can't th elawyer take the lead, why is it left to the client to make decisions. Isn't that why we hire them ??

Ignores phone calls and when making up a court order doesn't do it right. I felt I was more knowledgeable in law than he was.

Doesn't follow up. Have to keep calling him. Doesn't return calls. Very slow in responding. Not happy at all. Rob has me make the decisions. Why then do I need a lawyer !!!!
