While Lori was SUPPOSED to be representing me and my childrens' interests, she promptly left me in the lerch and then I received a letter stating she would be representing my soon to be ex husband 2 weeks later. I reported her for conflict of interest. she also expected to be aid even though she had broken the law.

I retained Ms. Lori Aylwin for a very difficult divorce/custody and mobility case from August 2011 until September 2013.
Ms. Aylwin came highly recommended from other lawyers on PEI who had heard of her exceptional work in Ontario.
I was in a stressful situation where I couldn't always be in Ontario for my case as my mother was very ill on PEI.
From the moment I had my first communication with Ms. Aylwin I knew I had made the right choice and that she genuinely had my best interest at heart.
She was very professional, highly skilled in family law and guided me in the best way.
Her prompt responses to emails and phone calls cannot be overemphasized.
She was very aware of costs and her efficiency was top notch.
She was always available to help ease my fears and I was guided through the most difficult time in my life.
She was such a good listener, and I never felt hurried.
Her confidence was infectious and she was highly respected by her colleagues.

I had a very negative experience with Barriston Law in Barrie, Ontario. I am going through a very difficult divorce, which has threatened the viability of my business. When the lawyers in the firm realized that my bank account was being depleted, they pushed me to agree to an impossible settlement with my wife, which would have resulted in certain financial demise. When I said that I could not possibly survive financially with the proposed settlement, the lawyer said that she could not represent me unless I paid another large sum of money. I asked for her to consider a payment plan, to which she responded that she would no longer represent me. I was left to represent myself to the best of my ability. I felt totally betrayed and abandoned.
