I hired Betsy to help manage my divorce. She did a fine job with my case, and because I did not constantly ring her phone, I got out with only paying a pretty reasonable fee. My Ex, on the other hand, used her lawyer as a therapist, and subsequently got handed a huge bill. My bill, around $2500, I think. There was some extra paperwork with the house and stuff that I agreed to pay for. My Ex's bill with her lawyer - around $8000. For those complaining about her cost, maybe you should have done some pre-negotiation outside of the meeting room. In addition, my divorce would have been complete in three months had my Ex's lawyer not been so hard to find time to meet with. Betsy never missed a meeting, and she had much more availability than my Ex's lawyer. Sounds like these complainers are simply high-maintenance customers to me. Keep in mind that it is YOUR life, YOUR divorce, and YOUR money, so be an adult and help manage the process accordingly rather than playing the victim.

I have NEVER in my life seen such shoddy work. This attorney was appointed by a judge to do work to HELP my children, and her sloppy, late, inconsistent "work" or lack thereof actually caused damage to my children. She did not do anything for about a YEAR, then at the last minute pulled a report from her hind end that was incorrect, incomplete, and did actual harm. She did not follow her own contract, and billed in a manner inconsistent with her own written agreement. I have NEVER seen such poor work. Her laziness and excuses for not doing what she should were inexcusable, and the way that she tried to cover her own butt in court to appear as though she did the work was atrocious. I would highly discourage anyone for hiring this woman for ANYTHING. I absolutely do not believe the "good comments" on here are from actual clients. Just read the similarities between the comments and styles of writing. This woman no only does not do a good job, but I believe has caused HARM.

If you are looking for a great attorney in a custody or divorce case, then look no further. Betsy is a one of a kind person that was born to do what she does,and it shows. She is extremely knowledgeable about family law, she is straight foreword with her clients and the best part is that she truly cares about the client's rights. Texas Law is Texas Law and you might not agree with everything, but Betsy spells it out and lets you know what she can do and can't do. I have work with many attorney (personal X2, business X6-7)in which most I like, but not near the level of Betsy. Thanks to her, my son received Joint Custody of his then 8 month old son, and he was only 16. I am a single father raising him, so he wanted to be a big part in his son's life too and Betsy pulled out a miracle which my son and I will never forget. My son finished High School as an "All A Honor Roll" student and received a full Scholarship to Southwestern University and is wonderful father to his son.

Ms Lambeth represented our son who made some poor choices as a juvenile. It was an extremely heartbreaking year for our family but Ms. Lambeth helped ease our pain. She is without a doubt commpassionate and knowledgeable in the juvenile system. At the same time she was firm and got the job done. Everything was right on task including her professional representation in the court room. Most importantly she worked well with my son and made him feel at ease yet at the same time emphasized the seriousness of his decisions. She treated my son with utmost respect while expecting the same from him. Without a doubt she has a heart for juveniles.

Ms. Lambeth has been wonderful in guiding me through a difficult divorce. She is competent, efficient, and compassionate. It is her empathy that shows me she goes "above and beyond" to support her clients and their families. At times, she is difficult to reach although if you pose a question to her assistant, the answer gets forwarded and responded to in a reasonable amount of time. I would refer any of my friends and/or family members to Betsy Lambeth if they would need legal counsel. I truly feel as though she is my representative but also my friend and ally.

I hired this attorney to represent me in over several months and it was the worst representation that I have ever had or heard of. My friends and family are shocked by the amount of money that I paid her vs. the amount of work that she did. Don't hire her. I wouldn't recommend it.

There is no way on God's green earth that this woman has gotten an honest good review by an actual client. It's comical that this solipsistic woman would actually rate herself on these rating websites. It only proclaims her inadequacy not only as a lawyer, but as a person as well. I know how unethical her practices are from EXPERIENCE. So to believe any positive rating is impossible. But of course Betsy wants money so she tries to keep her ratings up. I am surpised that no one has took the time to file a grievance on her with the Texas Bar Association, but there is a first time for everything. She is incompetent and her practices are unethical. Her contract is contrary to the work that she actually does. What is the use of hiring her to represent you when there is no actual representation. If you want to get bamboozled out of your money, then so be it, go with her. But, if you're smart you'll do your research on this attorney and chose to hire a different one.

If 0 was an option, I would have chosen it instead of one. If -5 was an option I would have chosen it over 0. This woman will take your money and do no work. We're talking thousands of dollars. Knowledge? Negative. Only acquaintance with the judges the county for over 20 years. Communication is not a part of the contract apparently since you can never reach her and she doesn't return calls unless you have a few hundred dollars to waste on her. Oh, and you can even set an appointment to meet with her. As long as you bring some money with you. Absolutely no tenacity. This woman seems to get paid to do nothing. Work Quality shouldn't even be under her name. There is none. And of course she values the money, but the clients, don't count on it. If you hire this lady, you will be highly dissappointed and dissatisfied with EVERY aspect of how she handles your case. Ratings 2 and 3 had to be Betsy rating herself. If look at her website she's ironically compassionate. She needs to be disbarred

This lawyers understanding of the legal system in the county she works is outstanding. She was compassionate and able to help me deal with some very difficult issues. It was sometimes difficult to reach her but I found that email or her assistant was the best way to contact her. I received an outstanding result for a fair price.

I hired this attorney for a collaborative divorce. My ex and I were in a good place with one another and had already agreed on division of assets. This attorney managed to draw out an amicable divorce over a whole year, made numerous mistakes (at one point I had to have another attorney review her work,because she obviously did not know how to prepare a simple Warranty Deed), and she ended up costing me money in assets because she did not dot her i's and cross her t's, and the total legal fees paid to her by me ended up being around $6,000. And she did not even prepare the Final Decree!
Oh, yes, and her mistakes, miscommunications, and foot dragging ruined a years worth of marriage counseling and the good will between me and my ex-husband. By the end of this debacle, friends and family felt that Ms. Lambeth owed ME money!
