I retained Ms. Sacca on the recommendation of a friend who had used her for a minor legal process. I have just learned that she has been appointed a judge!! Clearly they do not consider her record with clients and I can't help but wonder if this was not a political choice. As I read these reviews I can only agree with the comments that found Ms. Sacca aggressive, patronizing in her responses to my concerns, and in the end, ineffective in moving my divorce forward. It is unconscionable that lawyers can "promote" themselves as mediators and not resolve family disputes quickly and expeditiously. I cannot help but feel that invoicing and her own career trajectory were of greater significance to her than representing her client.

I had an excellent experience working with Karina Sacca! She was very professional, prompt with replies to my queries, and I felt that I was in very caring hands. Karina is not aggressive and confrontational, which I really appreciated, as I was dealing with a potentially unstable ex-partner. She was firm but fair. Karina is compassionate and really fights for you. I have been an off-and-on client of hers for over 14 years (unfortunately that is how long my case has taken to wrap up..) and I feel that she really worked for me and for my interests. You never get 100% of what you seek from a litigation process, but it always felt to me that the process was just and fair. I like her approach to mediated solutions instead of conflict-type situations. I appreciated her help and support at all times!

There was never any mention of some key points to help with my separation settlement. I was half owner of a house I had not lived in for a year during my separation but the subject of "occupation rent" never came up with Karina. I was lucky enough to have this mentioned to me by the assistant of a lawyer I head dealt with in the past, in time to mention to the Judge during the hearing so it could factor into the settlement. My ex said during the hearing that he could not afford to pay me out without losing the house, so I said I would settle for $10,000 less so he could keep it. If Karina had been on the ball she should have said how about that amount be paid out over time so his payments could be manageable. Instead my generosity lead to a loss that I was entitled to, having paid into the house with a full time job during the course of living there.

This firm represented us in real estate transactions and we found them to be expensive (paid double what my previous lawyer charged, and we were not informed ahead of time about their cost structure), disorganized (showed up to a meeting completely unprepared and uninformed, and with critical work not completed), communication was lacking and I had to ask for the same information multiple times to obtain it, While other times my requests were ignored and went unfilled. They constantly find new ways to charge you for work which you can do yourself without giving you any option to do it. They introduced these new charges right as the deal closes so that we felt that we had to pay or else the deal may fall through. I found them to be highly unethical in my opinion and cannot recommend them for real estate transactions. Throughout our experience we felt that they work for themselves, not for us, their clients. For us, this is not the type of lawyer we wish to work with.

My ex-wife used this lawyer and to summarize - My wife cheated, an affair for two years with a coworker, became pregnant, let me believe the child was mine for a year. Then after I fell in love with the child, left me when she became pregnant the second time... Miss Sacca accepted my ex-wife as a client with no concern or consideration of what is just or moral in society. She advised my ex-wife to sue me for everything including supporting a child that was not mine. Miss Sacca advised my ex-wife to manipulate the system, stay in the family home pushing me and my daughter out with no where to live. I completely understand the logic behind no-fault divorce in BC but I feel men and women should take a stand against unscrupulous lawyers by refusing to provide them business. That being said, if your a cheater, lier, with no moral character Miss Sacca is your best partner in crime.
