Worst experience I’ve had with a lawyer. I was seeking advice at a stage in my divorce that had become very complicated. My previous lawyer, who had walked me through preliminary steps suggested I get another opinion as she had done what I originally had asked her to do but the complication needed another lawyer to take it to the next stage. This lawyer suggested that my previous lawyer dumped me because I must have been difficult. She accused me of being naive and stupid, refused to let me introduce the details behind my brief written explanation that accompanied the very poor form that was sent to me to fill in in advance of the appointment. Most of the time on the call she lectured me with historical facts about the divorce act and women’s rights in the 20th century. As someone with two degrees in history, needless to say, I was not impressed. I was not allowed to talk and she made me feel stupid. A total waste of $450.

Please Please Please See ANY other lawyer. She never read the pre-reading material I emailed in advance so precious time ($5/min) was wasted trying to explain the situation. She will not let you speak your thoughts or opinions and she will talk over you. She was 15 mins late calling, not prepared, was at home and her dogs would not stop barking, and all the while she was making dinner. You can find out on your own but Please please please go and see ANY other law professional.

Susan was very helpful with our situation. She was empathetic of our needs, helped us to avoid wasting money on unnecessary steps and guided us in the quickest way to reach resolution. Highly recommend her.

Susan really helped me understand my legal rights clearly and concisely. She helped me to understand how to go ahead with my separation using the least time and money consuming route. She really encouraged me to stay out of court to manage the separation with as little strife for all the parties involved. We have only met for 1 hour thus far and I plan to use her again to move forward with my separation agreement. I would recommend her to anyone seeking advice and clear guidance for the least amount of $.

I called Susan Kurtz office right after I was served with court documents by my abusive ex husband. I was able to get an appointment earlier than anticipated, which I was grateful for as I had a time limit to respond. Thanks to her knowledge and advice, my matter was resolved early on in the court proceedings and I was able to continue on with my life without being dragged through the mud for what could have been years.

Susan Kurtz did a great job for me helped me through a really hard time with an absolutely insane ex wife . I would recommend her to anyone having to go through a rough divorce.If not for Susan my case would have gone to court only to have the same results but costing basically everything I owned.

I met with Susan Kurtz to discuss my separation and divorce with my husband. I felt comfortable and confident that she would be able to assist me and I retained her services. Susan answered any questions I had by email and addressed all of my concerns.I am happy to say that it took a month for my separation agreement to be completed and I am now on my way towards completing my divorce.The process, although stressful at times, helped keep my parenting relationship with my husband in tact so we can co-parent and better meet the needs of of children without bitterness and animosity.

I first met Susan after my then 5 yr old son and I were assaulted by his father. I hired Susan to help protect my sons and my rights and safety. Susan was very knowledgeable and caring. she helped me through visitation and custody hearings. She was very efficient and listened to all my concerns. Susan also helped my son and I through supreme court for a wills variation. Again I found myself at ease, knowing and trusting in Susans ability to succeed. She is very determined and a extremely loyal caring lawyer. She communicated great, and never made me feel uncomfortable when I would call or email with questions. She has a played a major part in my life and my sons and am thankful to have had her by my side through legal proceedings !

This lawyer sat me down in a pleasantly decorated room with zen like music and nice cup of tea. I did not even get a chance to even communicate what I was there for and she yelled at me for wasting her time. She kept saying 'I am going to ask you again' it's was really weird. I left after about ten minutes, in shock, wondering if I was either in the twilight zone or on candid camera. It was very disturbing.

This woman was very abrupt with me. She treated my questions as insignificant and a waste of her time. I never did receive appropriate advice.
I was reprimanded by her for repeating myself, even though she restated information she deemed relevant for a full hour when 15 minutes would have sufficed. This I suspect was in order to bump up the very exorbitant fee.
I later attended a meeting with a different lawyer who was much more professional and helpful resulting in a satisfactory result and who charged approximately half the price.

Be wary of hidden costs that are not mentioned. No doubt, a great lawyer, although tends to take things far too personally and is not consistent in the level of attention given.
