Mr Barnes is an excellent attorney; he is sharp, very intelligent, and knows the law. He took on our case knowing that my wife and I were up against a big firm trying to take our home. He has been very patient in dealing with our anxieties resulting from the ups and downs of our case. Mr. Barnes is honest, trustworthy, and articulate; he takes his time simplifying legal terms for us to keep us in the know. Working with him and his staff has been a great pleasure. Mr Barnes was very prompt and attentive to each stage of our lawsuit. He is very knowledgeable about this area of law and all of the issues involved in lawsuits against banks and servicers, as well as suits by the banks to foreclose. I hired Mr. Barnes in January of 2012 to co-counsel with a local attorney here in South Carolina. I was immediately blown away with his knowledge of how the mortgage industry works. He was able to get the bank into discovery, forcing at least 9 sales of my loan while in discovery (as each alleged lender did not want to face him at trial), forcing the substitution of at least 4 law firms, while going through at least 10 opposing attorneys. Mr. Barnes is highly respected in the courtroom, while educating judges to all of the injustices that occurs against homeowners. If you are serious about defending your property against these pretender lenders, I suggest you give Mr. Barnes a call. My wife and I have been very pleased with his representation and cannot thank him enough for all the years and time he has put into defending our rights.

Mr. Barns is a foreclosure defense attorney whose conduct, in my experience, can best be described as predatory. He uses op eds in foreclosure blogs to attract clients and then starts the drip-drip requests for additional money. You will be sorry if you employ his services

milk me out of $13.000 and sold me out at trial.The judge ask if fraud is being committed on the court and Mr barns said NO,the hole case was base on fraud and fabricated documents. i ask him out side the court house why he became a lawyer his reply it was MONEY, He does not listen.MR barns DUMPT me when i would not hand over $7000 for an appeal. all i wanted to know what are we appealing on.

Biggest mistake I have ever made, I got so screwed by Jeff Barnes. He was impossible to reach, Most of his charges were from begging him to get off his ass and do something to defend us. He lost every step of the way, He failed to file a critical lawsuit that may have caused us irreparable damage, In the end he conned me into believing that our case was very strong but I needed to give him more money to defend us. At the final meeting he tried very hard to explain how corrupt the judges were and he was very concerned. See his site Black Robed Mafia it may be a dangerous position for anyone being represented by Mr Barnes. So In the end he insisted on much more money. My family then put up a substantial residential property far worth more then his bill and as soon as he got the title in his name he attacked us in the most aggressive way that I have ever seen. I thought he cracked up. He used every bit of BS he could think of then just bailed out. He needs to return our property.

I was a client of his for over 2 years in a multi-plaintiff action I feel like all he did was take my money without any real concern for me the other case members or the outcome. We lost and a follow up case that was supposed to be filed fell apart because of the attorneys greed for more money. Months went by without any evidence of any work done. Though knowledgeable in this area of the law this attorney could not care less about his clients and is only after money.

This lawyer lost our house for us by suing the wrong bank then never even showed up or sent the local attorney to our eviction hearing!!

Upon referral from a trusted attorney, I emailed W Jeffrey Barnes, indicating my intent to hire him for a real property matter. I traveled to Newport Beach, California, and paid W Jeffrey Barnes a $450 consultation fee. After W Jeffrey Barnes accepted my check, he informed me that he was not licensed to practice law in California, and thus could not represent me in said matter. He then told me that he could provide consultation services for another lawsuit matter. W Jeffrey Barnes contacted my attorney. Nothing that W Jeffrey Barnes provided to my attorney was usable. When I contacted W Jeffrey Barnes again, I found him to be rude and insulting. W Jeffrey Barnes then emailed my attorney about my lawsuit matter without my consent. I contacted the State Bar of California. I further requested a refund from W Jeffrey Barnes. W Jeffrey Barnes responded with threats against me via email. I do not recommend W Jeffrey Barnes.
