Jason provides excellent value for money. He has so much experience and knowledge in labor law that I always felt confident in his advice. He was a little tough to get a hold of sometimes for updates but overall an excellent lawyer.

Jason is the best employment lawyer in Calgary. If you have an employment situation, you will not be disappointed. he is focused on best outcomes, not billing as much as he can. I have referred Jason numerous times, and have been given many thanks.

I have two major issues with Mr. schlotter, the first was over two years he acted as my lawyer I would call/email him once a month to get an update. Most months I would not get any response so two month would pass and then I'd get a call saying hey we have a hearing in three days type thing. Worst communication skills I've encountered in the professional world. Second issue was his lack of pushing quality issues...he would simply raise them then not argue them very effectively. Seemed like he was more concerned with chumming around/tippy toeing around with other council/arbitrator than being a good debator. Can't recommend him to anyone, wish I represented myself but Union agreements left me hooped. I lost my case and I shouldn't have.

He is very difficult to get a hold of. Although he updates his voicemail message regularly if he is out of the office he does not reply to voicemail for weeks. His replies to emails are even less frequent. He does speak plainly and can describe in simple terms the process and his opinions.

Jason was for the corporation and not for the little guy. He made a judgement based on another lawyers notes and did not ask me questions himself. He was combative and had to be advised to watch the tone he used. He negotiated a settlement that in no way protected me, it only protected the company I was filing against. He is a poor communicator and blames his clients for his blameworthy actions instead of accepting responsibility. This lawyer is a devil’s advocate for the corporation.
