I thought you needed to know the law to be a lawyer in Ontario. This lawyer cannot be less knowledgeable in the law. He misstated the law to the judge, who then corrected him. He missed filing deadlines, causing me more fees and overall he hurt my case. I regret not knowing about him before I hired him and suffered.

I hired Jon on the advice of a friend. I needed urgent help when my ex-husband abducted my teenaged daughter (which police do not act on despite having sole custody). Jon agreed he could help with urgency and needed a retainer. I asked Jon for a swift response on a Friday. On Monday morning he had not touched my file yet except to deposit the retainer, and when we spoke, he was clearly distracted and disengaged. If a lawyer cannot respond to an abduction with urgency, yet feels ok to take your money, they lack decency and should find a new profession.

I hired Jonathan to give me advice on my Separation Agreement. His input was thorough and very detailed. He took the time to listen to me, answered all of my questions, and gave me an excellent appreciation of what I had agreed to. I now have a deeper understanding of my Separation Agreement than when I signed it in the first place! Jonathan went above and beyond in my case, and was very personable. I would not hesitate to recommend him.
