Practically incoherent in court, embarrassingly disorganized, no grasp on basics of technology but will tell you everything you want to hear to get the mandate. Be prepared to be promised the moon and left with a big bill and a humiliating performance in court. Oh, and he will not shy from yelling at you the client, the other parties, the judge. Avoid!

Knowledgeable and empathetic. His tenacity is admirable. Again, not sure if the other postings refer to the same Alan Stein. This one is for Alan M. Stein, formerly of Stein & Stein, now with own practice on Sherbrooke street. He is in litigation. Very zen guy, experienced litigator.

I have NO KNOWLEDGE of this lawyer..so HAD to put 3 for all ratings. NOTE- BUT there are SEVERAL "Alan Stein" lawyers in Montreal. Lawyerratingz SHOULD put an identifier eg. address as to WHICH same-name lawyer is getting praised or destroyed by what brush.

Expensive and incompetent. Not even trained as a family lawyer. I got lucky once with him, but as my case progressed it was all downhill. Now all I am left with is his bill...
