After months of frustration with a divorce which was getting very little traction with another lawyer, a friend recommended that I contact Angela for her help and it was the best decision I ever made. She is easy to relate to, insightful, focused and very practical and she helped me navigate my way through a very stressful situation. I truly feel that Angela cares deeply about all her clients and she consistently goes the extra mile in their best interests. She was always readily available for advice I needed or questions I had. Considering her daily workload, the attention she gives to her clients is exemplary. I was always sure that she would reply within 24 hours and she always made me feel as if I was her most important client. I Have no words to Describe how amazing Angela is, I was Dealing with a very Difficult Situation, and Angela Turned it around for me. After almost 9 years of on going Family court I was So lucky to Met Angela her Dedication , compassion and Support were unbelievable. she would get back to me Very Quickly and acted fast on important things, very different from other lawyers. At court she didn't take No for an answer she was pushing for things and i was so Thankful to have her with me. if she is able to take you on as a client help your self and hire her Right away you will be happy you Did!!! After wasting time and money on another lawyer, a neighbour recommended Angela. She restored my faith in lawyers and was truly caring. I initially met Angela for a consult. Her advice? "Reach an agreement with your spouse without lawyers! Do it yourselves, use a mediator, but avoid lawyers as it gets nasty and expensive." So here was a lawyer telling me not to hire her!
My ex was persuaded by her lawyer that amicable divorce wasn't possible. I was summoned to a JCC, so I hired Angela. She explained that judges expect to hear reasonable proposals and dislike
having their time wasted with ridiculous requests. My ex's lawyer
made exactly such requests. The judge told him to advise his client she should "considerably lower her expectations". His client fired her lawyer.
Angela is an expert divorce lawyer, very knowledgeable and respectful of client's wishes. She explains all the legal intricacies in understandable terms. IMHO she and her team were always responsive and they answered my questions to the best of their ability. She was also very mindful of keeping her bill to a minimum.
Highly recommended!

When Angela realized that going after a "hidden Property" was not going to be easy and she might have to work harder.. she dropped me. with No explanation!.. she is arrogant and does NOT "care" about her clients.. No Compassion! I paid $72,000. and came out with NO Divorce, support or resolution to asset division.

Very available for email and telephone advice. Angela gives concise, perceptive advice. She seems to keep her client's best interests first in mind. I have used her services for several labour issues and I'm sure she has saved me much more than she has cost me! Definitely highly recommended.

After having wasted my time and money on another divorce lawyer, a friend referred me to Angela Thiele. She was very easy to talk to/work with, and eliminated much of the stress of trying to divorce my confrontational and uncooperative husband. She is easy to reach and has your best interests in mind. She explained the process to me, filed all the papers on time, and would not permit me to waste her time and my money. She was able to get me what I was entitled to without going to court, and was also very mindful of keeping costs down. I have since referred other clients to Angela, and they have been extremely happy and satisfied in the way that she handled their cases. After my divorce, my ex-husband even referred a friend of his to Angela for his divorce! That speaks volumes.

i was referred to Angela by a professional I trusted who said he had recommended Angela to several people before and they were very happy. I was impressed from our very first meeting. I thought I was heading into a nasty court battle and my ex would make it very expensive and stressful. Angela worked to reduce the conflict over our kids and get all the financial information I needed to feel comfortable about what I was entitled to. She recommended trying mediation rather than continuing to go to court and I was happy with my settlement at mediation. I thought her fees were reasonable considering she was a senior lawyer and she was very quick to respond to my calls and emails, even after hours or on weekends.

Beware...inexperienced litigator with poor knowledge of high conflict personality disordered individuals. She made an already difficult, expensive, and troubling situation worse for my family. I feel that she acted solely in her best interest and not in that of my child.

Beginning the divorce process takes a lot of courage and a strong support system is vital. Finding a lawyer can be a daunting task and one that can create great anxiety. Angela put all of these concerns at ease.
Angela’s proficiency and experience in the legal field is top notch but it is her caring personality that truly shines through. She is extremely devoted to her clients and is a strong advocate for the well being of children involved in the divorce process. I would also like to stress that during the entire divorce process she remained consistently professional and strong. Even when I wavered, she stayed true. I cannot say enough positive things about Angela. I wish I could have her representing me in all my legal matters.

I had to help my sister get away from an abusive relationship. I lived in the states and she lived in Vancouver. I already had biases against the Canadian system and the fact the husband was an officer. My American background had me convinced the system was not going to help protect my sister. From day one Angela not only fought for my sister against a bully, but went out of the way and risked her own well being to protect her client. As someone who couldn't be there at all times I felt a lot more secure having a lawyer who cared for her clients, and what was right. It was refreshing to have a lawyer who fought for the victims, but more importantly she always saw the big picture. Many a times my reaction to the inaction and abuse of the system by the other side was to be combative and declare war. However Angela never lost sight of the overall well being of the client and guided us towards the right resolution. Even now I know my sister has a friend there when we aren't around.

I've worked with Angela on and off for the last 5 years. She has been readily accessible (ansewring questions and emails on weekends even), easy to talk to (she LISTENS), tough when needed and very practical, thinking of the child first and foremost. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her to a friend or family member. I trust her judgement, her knowledge of the legal system, the limits of the legal system and the likely outcome of the changing challenges that our family has faced over the last 5 years. We have known Angela for over 12 years now, and she always seems to somehow surpass each previous milestone in helping our family cope with the challenges we've faced. I wrote a negative review, which also pointed out how several of the previous reviews appeared in the span of a week or so and were written in the same style, and my review was removed. Interesting. At any rate, I did not have a good esprits with this lawyer, and would not recommend her in any case where there are children involved, particularly if there are medical issues. She's more interested in drumming up her fees than in getting any sort of resolution for her clients, and I found her to do some odd, unnecessary things, but they padded her bill significantly. I couldn't tell you about her proficiency in other areas of law, but she's not that great when it comes to family court. She guarantees a trial outcome but then can't deliver.

I was referred to Angela by a friend, as i was having a very difficult time with my divorce and he suggested i just go and talk to her. As soon as I met with Angela, I knew i was with the right lawyer for my divorce. My ex husband is a lawyer himself and was very much a bully, so i knew i needed someone that would not be intimidated by him. Angela was not, and in fact, set me at ease as soon as I saw the communication between the two of them. Angela is an amazing lawyer and an even better advocate for her clients. I was intimidated by all the legal lingo and Angela helped me navigate through it all and kept me calm and sane. Angela took a very sensible approach to my case and constantly kept me in line with my upset over emotional details that can be extremely distracting during the divorce process. She would not entertain the idea of battling over insignificant points. In the end this saved me much time, effort, and ultimately the divorce bill. I have the very good fortune of having Angela represent me throughout a difficult and stressful separation and ongoing custody battle. I have had the good fortune of meeting Angela approximately 9 years ago, when I was separating from my common law spouse of 10 years. She was an immense comfort to me during this difficult time. I have a juris doctor degree from Harvard Law School, and although I knew nothing about Family Law in Canada, I did develop a good sense of what distinguishes world class lawyers. When I needed a family lawyer in Vancouver, I chose Angela. When my son was abducted, she got me a custody order within two days and my son back within five. When I ask an urgent question on a Sunday night, I get a response on the same evening. Angela truly cares -- about my case, about me, and most of all, about what's best for my son. And having seen her interact with several judges, it's clear that the judges know this and have a tremendous amount of respect for her. Angela is such a wonderful lawyer to work with through difficult times. I have had to deal with a few in the past few years and she was by far the best. Angela is knows her stuff inside and out, approaches cases sensibly and really cares about her clients. She got to the key points of our situation quickly. Angela also tells you about upcoming changes in the law and how they will impact your case. We especially appreciated that Angela was straight with us, giving us an assessment of our situation and our chances based on her experience (which we couldn't get from other lawyers). This allowed us to let go of some things that bothered us that were standard in similar cases, and gave us peace of mind on those issues. She did a cost-benefit analysis before taking any actions on the more important issues. She clearly worked to keep bills low - our bills dropped by a significant amount.
