for the guys who are thinking about the divorce, look elsewhere. He will protect your wife's position not yours. He will talk to you like a policeman or a judge but not someone who protects your interests. He told me what I already knew from the internet and failed to respond to specific questions.

I was on the other side. I didn't have a lawyer. I dealt with this guy on my own. He cost my ex 45k. Dragged a simple divorce over 4 years. Was unprofessional to me over the phone and in person. If I had 2 years of a college paralegal program I am sure I would of mopped the floor with this unprofessional man.

If you are looking for a strong and dedicated lawyer who truly cares, I highly recommend David Frenkel. I was going through a difficult separation and custody battle and felt alone and confused. David was very attentive and empathetic, and understood what I was going through. He defended my rights as a parent and protected my children's best interests. I felt comforted and safe, and trusted David implicitly and completely. As a result of David's diligence, care and expertise, I gained sole custody of my children and appropriate child support. Afterwards, David encouraged me to call/email if ever I needed assistance. I emailed David a year later for help with a water leak problem in my Unit, and he quickly responded, and emailed my property manager. Because of David's efforts, the leak and damages to my home are finally fixed and repaired. Though I was no longer a client, David continued to be a tireless advocate. I am forever indebted to David for his kindness, support and generosity.

I would highly recommend david.He was calm and knowledgeable. He was efficent in getting documents completed.He kept the costs low and was able to stay on a quick time line. He knew what he was talking about and communicated well. I had a lawyer prior to david who overcharged and didnt provide what i needed in a troubling time. David did just that. He was the calm in the storm of a custody case. He also gave you the other side in a positive light even when you dont want to hear it its good to have an other perspective. I highly recommend david. He is some one who communicates well, you get more then what you "Pay" for and is someone you can depend on when you need advice quickly

I would highly recommend david as a family lawyer. I had two lawyers prior to david that were awful and my case went nowhere. David was able to handle my messy divorce and got a great settlement for me quicky and efficiently. He is very bright snd really cares, not always an easy combination.

I wonder if he actually knows what he is doing? Dragging a case that could of been settled in mediation for almost 4 years!He also couldn't be bothered to serve my ex via email. He had to use a process server instead to drive costs even higher.

Gelman & Associates is a very professional company dealing with family law issues. I understood what they billed to me. Mr David Frenkel is a very professional lawyer. He is a very organized person and able to follow up all email communications clearly. David was competent, very conscientious, knowledgeable and attentive to my case. He and his staff were very professional and his assistant Melissa is a true asset. I was ready to go to trial but in the end so glad I listened to David. Not only did we achieve a good settlement but also trial expenses, emotional stress and loss of time was avoided. David has to be one of the most incompetent lawyers I have come across. His knowledge of corperate separations is scare. He is difficult to get a hold. And his communication skills are below standard for the work he is employed to do. I feel he has his best interests at heart rather than the clients.

Very dedicated and honest. Clearly tells you about the costs up front and provides alternatives to litigation to minimize legal fees. Was very happy with his service. Took the time to explain my legal issues until I was satisfied. I read the previous reviews and they are not reflective of my experience at all. Would definitely recommend.

If you need an expensive and greedy lawyer whose most of the communications with you is going to be about further retainer but not about your case then you may choose to hire him. He has a tendency to show very vital information to you at the last min and then will pressure to you say yes. He screwd my case and I will strongly say to everyone out there Please have your eyes wide open if you choose to retain him and do not fall into his last minute pressures

David deserves 5 stars across the board. David has the ability to sift through mountains of information and determine what is most relevant to the case then present it in a clear, concise manner. The Response to a Motion David created for my case was a work of art and virtually shut down the opposing council. He countered all claims with evidence and case precedence (faction). The case settled shortly afterwards in our favor and we avoided an expensive trial. I would advise those that are looking for a solid family lawyer who will look out for your best interests to retain David. I wouldn't pay any attention to the negative comments some people have posted here - David goes out of his way to get things settled as expeditiously as possible and in the best interest for his clients.

If you're looking for a lawyer whose main interest is to further his wallet while emptying yours, in addition to not only making himself look bad, but to you as a client as well, then look no further than this lawyer. Had a case which should've been settled in a relative short time took but instead, took months with him often bringing up issues that need not been brought up leaving nothing but frustration. His legal responses to matters left me wondering where he got his law degree from, they were so bad. He also doesn't respect other people's time. The reason a lot of people don't like lawyers is because there exists lawyers like him. Definitely wouldn't recommend him to anyone PERIOD.

I am an owner of a business. This was my first divorce and I didn't know how to find a good lawyer. A friend of mine attended a Mandatory Information Program at the Superior Court and told me that he heard David speak as one of the presenters and used David for his family law matter and was very satisfied. I went on my friend's recommendation. I was surprised that my friend was right on the money and David lived up to the hype. We first focused on what I wanted out of my case and what was most important to me. Then we went through different strategies in how to get this done. David didn't rush and followed the old saying "measure twice and cut once". We are still negotiating but I feel vey comfortable that we are taking the smart approach. We recently signed a comprehensive minutes of settlement and we're almost ready to complete the whole case. Thank's David!

While very dedicated, Mr. Frenkel seemed very slow to get to the point and it costs a lot for slow processing. His advice was accurate but based on the cost of obtaining it I would not go to him again. He asked a lot of questions that did not seem relevant to my concerns that I in the end gave minimal answers to because the clock was ticking and it was becoming a waste of my time and money. I found someone I am much happier with.

Mr. David Frenkel is the best and most competent lawyer in cases regarding Family Law and Separation issues while dealing with child custody and property matters. I really like his cool stance and innate understanding and he really takes the time to listen to all your concerns and then David represents you with total class and good excellence in court. By far the best lawyer for a family law matter. I have had two lawyers in the past and both have treated me with disrespect and constantly hurried me along without really knowing what they were doing. I'm glad that I listened because when we went to court, the judge told me exactly what David said.
