Karl WON my IRP case so I am a 100% satisfied client. I contacted Acumen Law for my IRP case based on a Google search. I called the 1-877 number on a Sunday afternoon and immediately was talking to Kyla. She patiently explained the process and its chances of success. As my drivers license was revoked and my car impounded, I felt I had little chance for any positive outcome. She patiently explained the IRP hearing process and the expertise Acumen has in presenting cases to the hearing process / judicial system. Kyla and her team kept me informed of what was needed from me and I left it in their hands. The costs up front seem like a lot for someone not involved with lawyers but it's a small price to pay to have the experts go through the legal process to meet the deadlines with all the various paperwork needed. Everyone should know how much Kyla went above and beyond in her efforts, expertise and dedication for justice as an officer of the court until a just decision was finally awarded after 5 years! Her professionalism and character honored and exemplified all the rules of conduct for lawyers to the highest degree imaginable. This was by far the best value I have ever received from any professional in any profession. Kyla is simply the best at what she does! The people complaining about her seem upset about their outcome and perhaps don't realize all the time and costs involved to advocate on their behalf. Most feel ripped off for money, yet nothing could be further from the truth. Outcomes vary, and in my case Kyla worked endlessly for 5 years and never asked for more than her upfront retainer. It is unbelievable how much work she did for such little compensation, and refused to take more money when I offered. She's definitely the person you want fighting for you. I highly recommend Kyla.

I retained the services of Ms. Kyla Lee to dispute an IRP I received while parked in my vehicle waiting for my friend’s husband to pick up my friend and I. Ms. Lee was successful in having all fines reversed and my license reinstated within 20 days of the incident, Ms. Lee and her team were amazing to work with, they were efficient and professional and provided helpful information throughout the process. Kyla came highly recommended by a friend who had experienced similar IRP problems a few years back. To receive the revocation advice this morning after two extensions was the best news - during the lengthy process Kyla even answered my emails on a Sunday afternoon - I have never received such personal service from any lawyer before! She is awesome to work with and cannot be recommended highly enough.

Not sure how she has so many great reviews. She explained mine was a pretty easy win. I did not win. I lost. She explained we could appeal it..not worth it. I spoke with icbc and my insurance agency. The ramifications of an IRP are not as horrendous as the lawyers would like you to think. I’ll have to take the course and an extra $950. It’s 3 months...but if you lose. You’ve also now paid a lawyer...and still have the same penalty. And sure it’s on my driving record for 5 years (can be seen forever but when a driving record is requested..it shows the past 5 years..i literally have this in writing from icbc) ...this doesn’t prevent me form my type of job, and i have secure job...so quite frankly, I wish I never hired this lawyer. Waste of a few grand. And don’t bother with the ‘specialist’. Waste of money there too. She may try to rebut this review...but it’s all fact.

If you need an IRP lawyer in B.C., look no further than Acumen Law. Kyla and her team are simply the best in the province at what they do.
They were able to get my charges dropped entirely. I can't even put into words how grateful I am for Kyla, Paul and the rest of the team. Frankly, I would have been completely screwed if I never called them.
Through the whole process they were nothing but kind and professional. They really, really, know their stuff. Their knowledge of driving laws in B.C. is quite possibly the most extensive of pretty much anyone. If you're in need of an IRP lawyer in B.C. it would be a huge mistake to go with anyone other than Acumen Law in my opinion.

Kyla is a diamond on a royal's ring. She is very skilful and proficient. I recommend her for your DUI/criminal charge. If you have any chance at a successful stay of charges, acquittal of charges, charges dropped or not guilty, this Ms. is who you want to hire. She's a busy person; email is the best way to reach her. Communication from her back may cause you to question your hiring decisions; however, speaking with any lawyer is time. Time is money. She isn't (a lawyer) counsel for small-talk. She's a lawyer getting results.

I was recommended to call Kyla Lee for my IRP that I had recieved, which i was surprised to be given as I was not driving and was casually waiting for my daughter to come pick me & my car to take us home. From the initial call to the final decision I cannot commend them highly enough as to the professionalism and service that I was given. Kyla and her team were so amazing and helpful. My friend had recommended her and I had my reservations as the police told me I didn’t stand a chance and I had to pay the consequences and all around made me feel lesser than a human being. I was going to abide by my IRP ticket and then decided I would go with a lawyer because I felt my case was unjustified. I am so happy I decided to because my case never even went to road side safety to be reviewed as Kyla and her team immediately found flaws in my case file and assured me I am a human being with rights. A good Friday night, turned into a terrible Saturday early morning. It was a long weekend. My license was taken for 90 days. My car was impounded for 30 days. My life was basically over. Saturday night, I E-mailed Acumen Law. Best decision of my life. Let me tell you. I got a call from them on Sunday morning. I was not expecting to hear from anyone until at least Tuesday. During a chat with them, I started to feel better. About 3 weeks later I got a call from someone there. They told me that Kyla Lee has successfully gotten my prohibition revoked, and to go get my license and my car back. I literally celebrated like i had just scored a winning goal in a Stanley Cup final. In public. I cannot thank Kyla enough. She's a superstar. Highly recommend her and her colleagues at Acumen Law.

Kyla represented me in the review of my 90 day IRP and successfully had it Cancelled. I immediately had my driver’s license reinstated and my vehicle released. When it seemed like the system was against me and nobody would hear my side, Kyla reviewed all of the facts and represented me professionally and effectively. Kyla is an amazing IRP lawyer but for any other traffic issues - she indicates she has to extend her resources to create a file for you. Reciprocal communication was TERRIBLE - but demands funds upfront immediately. Once you pay her, its as if she falls off the earth. You're lucky if you're able to get 1 min of her time for a quick update. No communication to outline next steps or expectations. Kyla didn't pull necessary documents from court files to support the case - it was questionable if she even had my best interest at hand. There are tasks and supporting files from courthouse that she could have utilized to support a stronger case. When asked what happened or how we could have done things differently - Kyla references that she needed to pull more resources than normal and condescending in her email. I would not recommend Kyla for anything other than Immediate Roadside Prohibition cases. You get for what you pay for.

Not a good communicator,told me i had a good case,i asked for a review and lost,the affidativ she wrote was out of context.After tried to convince me to go for the Supreme Court again telling me i had a good case.I decided not 2,the result she took the $$$$ . I would not recommend her service if you have an IRP.Each case is unique not like she tried using other cases in the review.She is agressive the way she presents herself.But no results on the end.

Kyla is extremely unprofessional and rude. She talks a good game until she has your money and then you will not here from her again. I used her a year for a 90 day driving prohibition. After loosing our hearing I was encouraged by her to dispute it (and pay more money. We lost again and due to her teams incompetence around a "clerical" error, I ended up being with out a licence for 15 days longer than I would have had I chose not to fight it. During this whole time she would not keep me informed and even dumped my case on to an articling student. The owner of the firm Paul Doroshenko is no better. He danced around in a circle when confronted and did nothing to help when I brought my concerns to him as I could not reach Kyla. I would NEVER recommend this firm or Kyla. I own my mistake but to spend $3000 and lose your licence for 15 days longer than originally suspended all due to some fast talking lawyer whose only concern is getting your money is unacceptable. Do not use her.

Kyla did an amazing job defending me against an 90 day IRP. Small price to pay considering the alternative. She spotted problems on the police report I would have never noticed and the defence worked!! I have to admit that I was surprised such a young lawyer had that much confidence and knowledge. I highly recommend calling Acumen if you get stuck with any driving penalty you don't feel you deserved. They are very good at what they do. I'm so glad I stumbled upon their web site that horrible Sunday morning. Can't thank you enough!
