Johanna has worked in MacLean and Marzban law firms prior to her current practice at Boughton. She has switched three firms in four years!!why?? She is extremely rude and condescending. She doesn't let you respond to her questions. She tries very hard in the first session to pretend she is a very competent lawyer by saying things like I choose my cases and clients. She casts doubt on your personality and tells you that most people approach their family lawyers with negative intentions!!! Perhaps, she is like that herself and sees everyone from that perspective. Complete waste of time and fiscal resources. STAY AWAY FROM HER. There's a reason she has to constantly switch employers.

Avoid this lawyer. Once she has received tens of thousands of dollars from you,she will terminate you only a few months before trial but will not reimburse you for all the money you paid giving the other side an advantage. She did not provide my next lawyer with notes she took from conversations I paid her for. She wrongly analyzed my outcome potential, she did not get any special expenses paid for from my ex despite me giving her the receipts and knowing I needed the money, the discovery she conducted was useless-she did not obtain all the information I needed or what I requested her to get, she allowed the other side to remove information that they were court ordered to provide, and refused to make the other side provide their financial documents so that by the time I got a new lawyer we had to go to Trial without these. This is a new lawyer who cannot think on her feet to form good questions. The discovery conducted showed how she allowed my ex to evade answers!Too expensive.

Johanna Stein is a fantastic lawer, my custody case with my daughter has been an upside down nightmare and she has helped me through the whole way! She is still my lawyer in this case and has gotten me more than what I had before. Johanna has not only helped me in my case, she has made it possible for my daughter and I to have more time together. She has answered all my questions and concerns and has supported me through my emotional times. Johanna is not only an excellent lawyer but a caring person. I couldn't imagine having any other lawyer.

During my divorce she was there for me 100%.. Through my tears and laughter she was solid and focused. Saved me a bundle and kept the ship on course. I can't thank her enough, this is one smart lawyer.

Lorne MacLean and Johanna Stein were a cut above the rest with a heart felt shared custody victory for a father and his 26month old boy in Supreme Court. The MacLean and Stein Team won the child custody case with there brilliant and meticulous detailed factual argument. Johanna Stein's cool calm presence was a pleasure to work with while putting the facts, articles and the case together. Dealing with a custody battle in court is a tough situation to be facing and the MacLean team was well prepared.
