Horrible experience with this law firm considering I knew Elena Mazinani for over 25 years and went to high school with her.
Choose wisely!!!! Client beware! Promised to take my divorce case “up to trial” for $45k and when I hit the $40k of the $45k all in fees, she slapped me for another bill close to $30k! Watch out DO NOT TRUST HER OR HER RETAINER AGREEMENT! Read it carefully!
Totally mismanaged my case conference causing a 7 night gap from me seeing my son! Then she blamed the judge for the gap, until transcripts were ordered and $10k later realized she messed up!
Left me high and dry and kept bothering me to pay her another $30k! Ended up paying her $50k total for bs unprofessional service!

Ms. Mazinani is very professional and understanding. She takes the time to understand the landscape of facts and emotions and helps you to set aside those emotions to focus instead on the best outcome possible. She is kind while frank and gives an honest appraisal of what outcomes are possible. Her knowledge of the Iranian community's cultural perspective and expectations helped me to navigate the worst time of my life. In the end, I received a very high value of commitment and service which is worth more than the financial compensation I was charged.

Ashkan Mazinani is one of the best and very experienced family lawyer in Toronto. My case was extremely complex and as a single father, I was fighting for my children custody, restraining order, and several other issue’s in the court. I was hopeless, exhausted and lost. I wished I did my home work with her, she was recommended by a friend and I think my friend did not liked me, she is a nice lady but she does not care about her clients, in 1 of the motions she sent a criminal lawyer to the court to replace her and the young lady had no clue of the case and I had to tell her almost everything and we lost, I had to even pay for the mother of my son's lawyer as well, later she said to me, don't worry to pay me for today, sorry it was my fault, I appreciated those words, 6 months later they told me I had to pay the total amount and they told me that I misunderstood what she said. I never felt represented by her. Me and mother of my son went for dinner and wrote and agreement on a napkin and we signed it.

I have charged $220 for one session to talk with Elena Mazinani for 30 min but another lawyer who i din not know talk with me 20 min and she came just for 8 min. it is not fair and professional and It is not legal.

If I could rate this lawyer a zero I would. I hired Elena in June 2020, this was my first divorce so I was very stressed and trusted Elena to help with my case. Rather than helping she dug me deeper and made my case more complicated on purpose to go to court and make more money. She is rude and sometimes would even shout at me. At one point she yelled at me and I had to tell her to lower her tone because I was not her daughter. Along with this, every time I would ask her a simple question she would get mad at me rather than explaining what I didn't understand professionally. I had to constantly remind her of things and be on top of her in order to get things done. In my opinion, she is lazy to the point that the judge in court had to tell her that she did not send the documents on time. I decided to go with another lawyer since I had enough of her lack of interest in my case. I have so far paid over $30,000 in 8 months of working with her. DONT HIRE HER!

If I could rate this Lawyer Elena Mazinani a zero I would, her attitude and the way that she talked to me was unbelievable. This lawyer spends significant time going through review sites to report bad reviews and have them removed, then hires people in the United States to write good reviews about her on Google (you can click on their names and see exactly where they are from). When you see "SYSTEM: 2 negative duplicate or disallowed ratings automatically removed" it means that it was a bad review about her that was reported. She really doesn't want the truth to be spread. She really messed up my divorce case. 2 years, 40, 000 in fees and I walked away with nothing. She told me not to accept by ex's offer and to go all the way to trial. I would have walked away with money if I had taken his offer. After the trial I'm severely indebted.

She gave us a price quote on the phone and after we did all arrangements and wanted to pay in her office, her actual price was 35% more; so we asked for an explanation. Unbelievable! She started shouting at us and when we complained, she threatened to call police. She will treat you like a piece of TRASH. I SWEAR THIS WAS The WORST EXPERIENCE OF my life. I AM STILL SHAKING. I have never even seen such a person who mistreats her clients like this. I am sure all positive reviews have been written by her staff or friends (if she has any!). This lady has lots of mental issues and should see a psychologist ASAP

She just played game and was unable to close a simple deal for my purchase because she was out of country at the date of closing and I had no idea. She also screwed up my sold house. This was not my first experience using a lawyer, but was certainly my worst. Elena would take clients at the front in the middle of my meetings, had me prepare my financial documents (for a divorce case) and charged me to recopy them, and overall didn't provide any useful legal expertise. After over $4000 in legal fees and nothing tangible gained in my case, I decided to represent myself.

This was my first time dealing with the legal system, and I was very nervous about having to deal with a lawyer as I had heard many horror stories. Ms. Mazinani made my divorce proceedings and my experience with the legal system a lot easier as she made me feel welcome and a never had a problem getting a hold of her to discuss my case. She is professional and clearly has very in-depth knowledge of family law as she was never stumped throughout the many challenges which my ex-wifes lawyer threw our way. On top of this her rates are some of the most reasonable I have seen when compared to other lawyers, and I am more than happy with the results she obtained for me. Very unprofessional!I've paid her about $2500!!! and she forgot to process my case !!!till "I" called back for follow up after 2-3 months!! and her office staff told me you have never paid!!!!Then I've received multiple RUDE attitude against me and my case and they misinformed!! me to do some sort of "exception" and re-do my job in "Express" way!!!NEVER happened!!and there is nothing even like that EXIST!!!I have "Her Hand Writing" on estimated time frame on my "Simple work" as she described it, BUT it took " 5 Extra Months " because of her misfiling the FILE!!!and not a single apology or regret!At the end she is calling me "all "your nationality....are ...which is NOT acceptable from any one specifically from a LAWYER!!!!please do your research first!!!
