Another review said that Walden is aggressive.... yes, but it is actually insecurity because she doesn't know much. Calling her a terrible person and an awful lawyer is being too kind and generous to her.

She has been around for a while but doesn't seem very interested in what she does. She can be abrupt and aggressive and sometimes would keep talking just to use up my retainer. I would not recommend her or use her again. It cost me a lot of money and the animosity between my ex and me has gone up 1000% as a result of this lawyer's ignorance

Peggy walden came highly recommended from and she did not disappoint. She came up with ideas that were outside the box and did not countenance any aggression or animosity with my ex. but also didn't let my ex get her way. She reinforced my desire to put children first. Peggy wastes no time - dealing with facts of the law meaning that money is not wasted using her a s a marriage counsellor or financial advisor. You need to do some work and you need to listen to her sage advice rather than talk over her.

I do not hesitate to recommend Peggy Walden as a mediator in divorce settlements. She very capability handled the negotiation between myself and my now ex-wife. She did an outstanding job in quickly bringing us to a mutually satisfactory financial settlement.
Peggy is very professional and competently managed this very high stakes and stressful divorce negotiation. She was fair and unbiased – by taking the time to fully understand the arguments of both sides. Peggy patiently and skillfully drew out the perspective of each side. Using the law and her strong background in accounting, it became clear to each side what was the equitable solution must be. Her patience and thoroughness led to a quick resolution –by her skillful facilitation of the final settlement. This was critical – I did not want a long and drawn out back and forth and argumentative costly process. She avoided this!

Ms. Walden was very thorough in explaining my rights and responsibilities. She listened to my concerns and was able to present what the other party may have thought in order to help me understand the big picture. Above all her demeanor was reasonable and professional. Her experience was evident in her explanations of the issues involved. I felt confident that the matter was good hands. I would highly recommend her services.

Peggy guided me through my divorce with compassion, dignity and understanding. She was bluntly honest with me, even though there were times I was letting my emotions get the best of me. At all times, she was focused on creating the best ending to the relationship. Prior to the process starting she explained everything to me in detail and communicated to me throughout appropriately. If she called, it was because she required actions or information from me. She focused on what was in my best interest and not what was a 50/50 split. I left feeling that she had taking care of me and on a footing to begin my life again. She initially asked me what was most important for me and she worked towards my goals. It costs money to end a marriage, Peggy charged me fairly and I feel that it was money well spent. I would easily recommend her to anyone who is looking for an honest, hardworking, and personable representation or mediation.

I recently hired Peggy to assist with a separation case. Peggy's knowledge, strategy and overall performance was exceptional. Billing rates were fair and communication was excellent. I would highly recommend using Peggy for family law services in Calgary.

Peggy recently guided me through a nasty divorce negotiation. She knows the law inside out. She kept me focused on the final goal even when emotions were getting the better of me. She was on top of the file throughout the entire battle and doesn't tolerate garbage from either myself or my X or council.

Great at explaining every thing. She pushed me to get my stuff together so she could do the best. I did and while I didn't get the exact results I wanted, it was fair for me. I don't think the other guy thought it was fair but he wasn't prepared at all.

I recently used Peggy Walden for the purpose of mediation. Her location and business name has now changed to Walden Family Law located at 200, 638 11th Ave. SW. She was extremely biased, made inappropriate comments about my preparedness for the process and focused solely on what my (male) partner would be entitled to. There were no balanced discussions on how property or assests could or should be split based on what each of us had in value or by law. The majority of the discussion was how my partner could benefit. She went on about how financial disclosure was beneficial but did not gather any information about my partner who has his own business, several assets in motorized vehicles and earns well over half of what I do. It was an extremely one sided and biased discussion. I would not recommend her for any legal representation.

Good price, but treated me like garbage. Thinks she is better than her clients and Im sure everyone else. I would not recommend hiring her.
