Banke is as corrupt and inept as they come, she is unprepared and to proud to see the truth. Banke unfortunately was appointed as my sons lawyer who is now a teen, Banke openly shared statements resembling coercion of a minor she colluded with my sons lawyer in plain site and in private. Banke would twist my sons words and share ridiculous opinions far from what my son has openly told all parties what he wants he is 14 and would try to communicate with Banke in times of greater need and support of council, but she wouldn’t return his calls then show up in court expressing her wishes rather than her clients. Banke was completely ignorant to her own procedure laid out in her introduction letter and will openly turn you into a monster if you question her. Banke pled in court that my son should be with his mom so he doesn’t miss out on valuable relationships with her friends kids, but made no mention of his 7 cousins, 3 aunts, uncles and gramma. Please keep your child as far as possibl

The biggest mistake of my life is that I cheaped out on a good lawyer. No free initial consultation with her before you even have a choice. I figured that expensive (well experienced) lawyers are worth every penny as they will surely charge you more but they will successfully execute and deliver outcomes in much lesser time. An experienced pro will do the same amount of work (much better) vs. counterpart who tend to consume 3-4x time as much with a focus on billable hours and you will still be potentially on the hook for rest of your life. Well experienced lawyers will take fewer number of cases and be more attentive to your file, not to mention the average response times are much lower.
Moral of the story (my experience) - DO NOT try to save pennies today and spend dollar tomorrow! Either way, please do yourself a favor and find someone else. I found an alternative on BestLawyers.com and I am sure you will not regret it.

Banke is one of the best lawyers you can find in Alberta. She has been my lawyer for over 6 years and has done an excellent job in not only fighting and winning cases for me, but also Protecting my interests! I highly recommend Banke for any family court needs you might have.

Was referred to Banke by a friend of mine who used her help for her Divorce. Banke helped me with getting a parenting order against my drug addict ex. From the initial consultation, Banke was thorough, actually listened to my concerns, and explained the process to me. She knows when to take a position and when to negotiate. She knows the law. I would recommend.

Attended a full day mediation session and she looked like a deer in headlights. If she said 5 words the whole time I would be surprised. Did not seem to know the law or how to support her client. Ended up firing her after many months of wasted money and no results. She talks a good talk with what she is going to do, but is lacking on her actual execution of the strategy/plan.

I am so thankful I met Banke. My case was alittle complex with my ex as there were kids involved. What stood out for me in our first interaction was that Banke listened to me. she gave me space and time to really express myself. After getting an understanding of where and what I wanted to achieve, Banke and I made a plan for action. I am glad for this because having a solid plan made my divorce process easier to handle. I was going through a messy, complicated and emotional divorce and child custody battle. My ex was totally irrational and sometimes, I probably was. Banke always went over and beyond to explain the process to ma, and make sense of the process. I found Banke to be very knowledgable about the law regarding divorce, child custody and all other aspects of the law that applies to my case. I would highly recommend Banke to anyone.

Banke is an attentive, professional, caring, and compassionate lawyer. She was one of my biggest sources of hope during an otherwise long and drawn out legal ordeal. Banke is truly amazing an amazing lawyer, wonderful to work with, very knowledgeable and well versed in quoting previous cases to establish grounds. Banke worked diligently and efficiently on my case file to make sure my best interests are taken care of and protected when I thought I had no one to turn to in my divorce. Her professionalism is outstanding especially how she holds herself against opposing counsel, her best interest is her clients welfare and making sure this is the most cost effective experience in this difficult time. I was very impressed with Banke's work. She was efficient and worked quickly but thoroughly. I felt that I was well represented as she stood her ground about what I wanted and didn't go back and forth between myself and the other parties( which just adds up more and more expenses.) She knew what I wanted and expressed that firmly with the other lawyer.I have had a very bad experience in the past with lawyers and dealing with Banke was a breathe of fresh air. I truly felt well represented and that she had my best interest at heart.She kept me current with the proceedings mainly through email which I found a good way to keep expenses down.I received drafts of her work to peruse and approve which made me feel as if I was kept current of the proceedings.She researched information for me and then wrote up a detailed plan of action for me which is extremely helpful.She has excellent knowledge. I would and have highly recommended her to others.Her work has renewed my trust in the legal system

very disapointed in her results. i dont want to get into the particuliars about the case as she would know that I gave her a bad referral but if you had to chose a lawyer to represent you, I would never refer her, her english is barely understandable, and clouds her ability to be clear and concise in court , I could see the judge getting frustrated with her because he had trouble understanding her. I gave her the benefit of the doubt and it did not turn out well for me :( if actors can get rid of their accents, then she should as well

Does not speak English well enough to draft agreements or represent you in court. I was embarassed in court. She bills far too much!
