I paid $40k to Barbara Jean Penny her for services in my divorce. She failed to file a wage assignment, visitation papers, and had emails from LA law firms advising her the private judge hired to hear my case was gender biased. She was not honest when telling me that my case would settle sooner by hiring a private judge. She also failed to tell me opposing counsel was a judge pro tem. She retired the day of my hearing and left me with no representation to help me collect any assets. She allowed opposing counsel to open with questioning first and did not use any of my evidence, or witnesses and failed to defend or ask any important questions. It was if she was a totally different person that day. She as refused all contact with me since the hearing other than sending another bill for $8000

TOOK my money Kept my case going for 2 years and accomplished nothing for me not even ny divorc decree. I believe she is too old to be prACTICING. I Believe she knows how to add her hours up to eat your retainer up and accomplish nothing for her client
