We were referred to this lawyer by our Union, because our first lawyer just "disappeared", even though he was a good lawyer. Our case was a complex bankruptcy, but he knew little of bankruptcy proceedings, and his referral to another lawyer did not pan out. Initially he was friendly over the phone, but after our first face-to-face meeting, he rarely return our calls or emails and, eventually, just ignored us altogether. We entered a complaint to the Union but are now in dire straits with an imminent foreclosure hanging over us. Word to the wise: make sure you find a lawyer who is fully competent in bankruptcy law, especially in NJ, and is willing to keep you in the communicative loop- not just abandon you when it gets too tough. Our fault was not vetting this guy's credentials, and for accepting assembly-line legal advice in the first place.
