I wish we had read the reviews at the outset as that mistake cost us thousands of dollars. Cecil's agenda comes before yours; he utilizes factual information for his own betterment; negotiates in bad faith; will tell you he has been doing this for 31 years, yet his favorite saying, which he uses repeatedly is “I don’t understand”. Cecil takes great comfort bedazzling you by his command of the English language, his sartorial splendor, especially his bow ties but cannot take any comfort from his mathematical and negotiating skills; monthly billings border on fantasy and inaccuracy; he will treat you like a buffoon. Use extreme caution if you are to engage his services. When you have a complaint regarding his professionalism and billing,contact the Law Society.

When asked how spousal support calculations are made, Cecil replied "it's very complicated and I could tell you but I'd have to charge you more." After six years, he has fulfilled almost none of the items on his retainer agreement. I warn you not to employ him. His mediation documents were full of inaccuracies and glib commentary that will not win any favour among judges. I honestly cannot stress enough how much you should not work with this person.

A no nonsense lawyer. He doesn't sugar coat anything and tells you like it is, which I found to be extremely useful. His rates are fare more reasonable than other attorneys.

I thought that Cecil was very helpful as a mediator in helping my ex and I come to a practical agreement that saved us a lot of heartache. I didn't get everything I wanted, and had to let go of some of my hopes, but I have to admit that the process and the outcome was fair.

Very condescending, non supportive and critical. I left his office feeling suicidal. He wont listen to the whole story, makes snap judgements and made me feel entirely to blame. I just wanted some help, he is not sympathetic at all, maybe thats how the law works, but as a sahm seeking some help to cope...well forget it, he is more interested in the muffins on the table.
