Extremely unprofessional and cocky at case conference. Acted like his client made the application and spoke first and over the other side. Convinced client to demand unethical things. Do not recommend.

I was very nervous about what it would mean to get divorced. My wife was very emotional. I did not want this to get ugly. I wanted a firm that was looking for solutions - not trying to drag it out like friends of mine had experienced. I liked the straight talk. Darrin seems like a normal person, not a lawyer. I received great advice and ideas about how to negotiate. Things went pretty smoothly. There were some tough times because of the emotions but all in all I was very happy with the services I received from this firm. Worked well for me and my family.

I had a great experience. I was not sure what to expect. I felt good after the free initial phone call. I decided to move ahead with the flat rate separation agreement option. I felt that my spouse and I had a lot worked out. There were things I had not thought of. This firm helped me ensure everything went smoothly. Highly recommend.

This law firm saved me. I had spent thousands and thousands of dollars in legal fees at another firm. My lawyer left the firm in the middle of my file. I was then bounced around between lawyers. I felt lost and hopeless. I call Darrin for a second opinion. He took on the case and had it resolved within a couple of months for a fraction of what I spent elsewhere. I am very grateful and happy to be looking forward.

Darrin Clayton gave me a free consultation today, as it was my first time with him. Many lawyers no longer do this, so I greatly appreciated it. He returned my call same day, and gave me excellent advice regarding questions I had on outstanding financial issues in my divorce. He also followed up by sending a document which gave specific legal definitions and case laws connected to my question. I very much appreciated his speedy, accurate and friendly professional service, and would recommend him highly for family law matters.

I took advantage of the half hour free telephone conversation. Darrin provided a lot of information. I was happy to learn that at this point I do not have to hire a lawyer - but if I need a lawyer in the future I will start with Clayton Law.

I used Darrin Clayton as my divorce lawyer in 2014 and this gentleman and his team were really good. We used the collaborative law method to settle our divorce and Darrin was very well suited for this as he is one of the founders of that system in Ottawa. He is compassionate and does not over bill the way some lawyers do. I highly recommend Darrin Clayton.

Please save your time and money and don't go to this man for legal advice. Yes, he tries to resolve cases quickly but he does not go through anything in detail and misses major issues. If I would have followed his advice, I would have had a great financial loss in my settelement. It is because he did not do his due diligence, that is his homework on anything. As I tried to explain my situation, he insisted on ending the phone call. He didn't bother to meet with me even once. I am a professional and I would never treat anyone in this manner. Unbelievable.

Does not believe in charging his client unnecessarily. When it comes to being efficient and getting issues resolved out of court he is great at what he does. The staff at his office were great and very willing to answer questions. I would recommend Darrin to anyone who is looking to resolve their family law issues quickly and efficiently without spending a fortune.

Mr. Clayton was the only lawyer I found that offered a free consultation, all others I contacted wanted a fee to get introduced. I was able to follow his advice to help resolve my situation. He is very knowledgeable and experienced plus he puts the clients' interests first.

Would not recommend this lawyer. He is only interested in sending letters back and forth charging $250/hr for his service. When it comes to litigation and standing up for his client he is a masssive fail.

Very impressed with this fine law firm, and Mr. Clayton in particular, in helping to resolve outstanding matters that my previous lawyer could not. All of the staff worked competently and efficiently at getting postivite results. Fair price for fair work. In no way did I feel that I was being overcharged. Talked in a manner which is straight-forward and to-the fact. Thank you.
