I've dealt with many lawyers over the years as I have a high conflict case. Maryam is one of the only lawyers I've met who has solid set of skills and expertise in family law (including international divorce disputes) while actually caring for her client and the children's wellbeing. She's fierce in the court room and her work are both effective and efficient. I watched her during the trial and noticed how the judge was appreciative of Maryam's approach and professionalism. Maryam was confident and honest on the challenges about my case from the beginning and considerate about my budget as I had already wasted a fortune on my previous lawyers. Maryam was recommended to us by a friend who used her service previously and successfully. We were looking for a lawyer to review our immigration package. While our case was straightforward, we still wanted to get an expert's opinion. We booked an appointment via phone and managed to book a reasonably early meeting with her (this was pre-COVID era of February 2020). We found her extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly. She took the time and went through all our forms, questions, and concerns. She followed up with us with relevant updates from IRCC and additional helpful information on multiple occasions. We were able to get quick responses from her on a couple quick emails as well. We booked for her advice once more via phone (COVID times) and again felt confident in her experience. I was seeking some advice on my ongoing divorce case. I had a different lawyer and wasn't getting the kind of attention I felt like I should be getting. I reached out to Maryam and she talked to me for an hour. In that hour, I felt more prepared about what I had to face than I had felt before. She told me a number of things I didn't even know were options and helped me feel more confident. At the end, she suggested I not switch lawyers as my case should be straightforward and I would spend more money switching than just dealing with it. She had an opportunity to take me on as a client and earn a few extra dollars, so to speak, but she instead chose to take a path that was financially easier on me. After bad experiences with two different lawyers during my divorce proceedings, I was referred to Maryam by a friend who was extremely happy with her work. I can see why. She was exceptional. She is very knowledgeable, tenacious and hard working. I knew when I met with her each time that she had been working hard on my file and knew it like it was the only file she was working on.
