I have had the privilege of working with Meredith Bateman as my personal lawyer for many years. Therefore I confidently assert, she is one of the best in the business. Meredith is highly trustworthy and always has her clients' best interests at heart. She gets straight to the point and does not beat around the bush, which I truly appreciate. Additionally, her fees are very reasonable. She is always available to answer any questions or concerns. Meredith keeps a low business overhead which benefits her clients. I highly recommend Meredith to anyone needing a top-notch professional advocate.To cap everything else, she owns a small 8 lb. lovable boxer puppy which guards the office from all malfeasance. Sent me a letter on behalf of her clients with many untruths in it. Lawyers are to send only good information and proven facts. She didn't check out the information given to her, just took their word for it. Also, said she sent it to me by mail and email. I only received the one by mail. Hope she didn't bill you much! Lol.

We hired her for a simple divorce, the quoted cost kept going up and I could never contact her to have questions answered. I was always given some excuse as to why she was to busy to contact me and we even went to her office several times and we were told she wasn't in and her vehicle was parked out front. After more than twice the quoted price she dropped us just before it was to go to court. She took our money and gave us our papers with no work done. I would never ever recommend anyone use her for anything! Ever!

She was useless, myself and my ex had come to a agreement of separation and had written down all the info needed and all she had to do was write it in a legal context, which took over 3 months. I had to keep E-mailing and calling to see why it was taking so long and was told she was busy each time and at the end it ended up costing me over $3,800 just myself which was unacceptable just to write one court document. I would never ever recommend her.

She helped me with my cohabitation agreement, discussing the different ways it could be done and looking out for my best interest. When things needed to be divided, it was a smoother process because of that piece of paper and she even put in a clause about our pensions and RRSPs that kept everything clean. Personable and easy to talk to. I’ve gone back to her for a number of subsequent requests.

I had to do most of the work, so not sure why I hire a lawyer to do the work myself, I had to travel far to get to her office with appointment so that they turn me back home after 10 minute. I had to go back to answer to all the question in the affidavit. She took every think I wrote mostly word to word .So of course it was not done right as I am not a lawyer. In the end I had to rehire another lawyer and repay another lawyer for the same work done twice. She had also lost $1000.00 of the deposit made to her. I had to show prove that this was paid. I would NOT recommend her service.

I used this lawyer both for my separation and to buy my new home. She was fantastic. She explained her fees to me up front and explained everything I needed to know and what to expect. I have no hesitation in recommending her to others

all that i am about to say is easily proven and i am in no way lying. she took a case and started out fine. they she stopped all communication with me until my case went beyond the date it could be fought, and she did not even make and attempt to follow up with me or those that the case was against. i would call and they would flat out lie to me saying stuff was mailed out to me but i must have moved since i came back. I have lived in the same place for 14 years and she has sent stuff before. I have heard that she is a good real estate attorney and i can't comment on that, but please dont task her with anything else more important as she was unable to do so, at least from this point of view. I would not even mind if she said that she needed help or could not do anything, but to let the statute expire without any word was very unprofessional and i would not trust her again. she even deleted emails and evidence that she had as to protect herself. take care.

I am surprised by all of the bad reviews. I realize that when you hire a lawyer you might not get all that you want, but the criticisms seem unfair. Over the last 10 years I have called upon Ms Bateman for advise a number of times and always found her to be informative, compassionate and caring. I found this rating today because I was looking for her number to call. I will not hesitate to call her or recommend her to friends or family.

Meredith Bateman represented me when my ex boyfriend left our home and took our son. She got my son back for me, and now my ex only has supervised access to him. I found her very smart and tough, but easy to deal with and understand. She charged me a lot but it was worth it. I am very satisfied with her services and recommend her highly as a family lawyer.

I found Meredith to be one of the worst lawyers I have ever dealt with ,no real knowledge of criminal law ,lazy ,totally unprepared ,failure to listen to clients instructions, nervous in court ,and not trying to understand the case ,there was no way the case could be lost but she did it and so after thousands of more dollars won the appeal but not by her ,she may be fine for family law but keep her out of criminal law . Allowed non experts to testify as experts ,did not present the armed assault by private subcontractors hired by the government of new Brunswick (these were under no judicial oversight) There is much more but not enough space here

Very slow and ultimately never filed court paperwork on my hehalf in a timely manner and didn't care what I had to say. We ended up having to get a new lawyer in order to go to court.

I hired Meredith to do my divorce and get me custody of my children. I found her to be very efficient and professional, and extremely personable, providing me with great advice and exceptional service. I was very happy with the way my divorce turned out. I recommend her highly to anyone looking for an excellent family lawyer.
