Click to report rating    1/22/25   1     1     1     1     1   This lawyer is in the wromg business. She should join the army and be a vigilante. All she knows id warfare and conflict. I thought that a family lawyer was supposed to give advice, show you the way to solutions and settle cases. No, no and no. Kristin is committed to armed battle, conflict and aggression. I wish I never hired her. She hurt me and my case. RID: 271950
Click to report rating    11/15/22   1     1     1     1     1   AVOID if you are a victim of coercive control, psychological, emotional and financial abuse, because she will REVICTIMIZE you and cause you more harm that you will have to live with for years as a result of her advice. Kristen gives a good first impression as a confident and knowledgeable lawyer. She is not experienced with abuse victims, and will not call abuse what it is and fight for you as a victim. She will instead allow the term "high-conflict" that is often used by the other party against victims to minimize their experience, and she will gaslight you and "fight" as if you are simply in a "high-conflict" divorce or custody situation. She will advise and refer you to use "professionals" who give kickbacks. She will keep you in a state of fear so you would keep her around with the hopes that she will help you, so to extract the max amount of money that she can from you. When you run out of money, she will push you to settle and accept bad deals that will harm you forever. RID: 262581

Click to report rating    8/11/19   5     5     5     5     4   I used Kristen to deal with my bully ex husband when I had no more energy to fight. She was AWESOME. Worth every penny. I’m sure one of these crap ratings was from my ex, he hated her because she is just what I needed- someone to fight for me & my kid. If you want a thorough lawyer who will tell it to you straight, and is strategic, hire her. She always got back to me quickly- unless she was in court of course- the office staff were helpful and quick too. I have also recommended her to a couple friends who are also working with her now. This stuff costs money, but with Kristen you get what you pay for & she will fight to the end for you. I’m hugely grateful for her help, it got me to the resolution I was going for. RID: 213566
Click to report rating    9/25/18   5     5     5     5     5   Kristen and her team were great to work with. Kristen knows her stuff and worked with me to discuss options and make good choices at each step. She is smart and to the point. I would give her my highest recommendation. RID: 203880
Click to report rating    7/28/18   5     5     5     5     4   I retained Kristen and her team to assist with a very stressful and litigious family law matter. Kristen’s strategic thinking, responsiveness and care were just what I needed to navigate my separation and divorce and the stressful litigation. I appreciated that Kristen and her clerk checked in with me regularly for instructions and feedback, and I found them very cost conscious. I had a good sense of what the cost of each step would be and I appreciated being able to budget and plan. Kristen’s associate Joanna was a great addition to the team too, and kept costs down. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Kristen! RID: 202035
Click to report rating    3/1/18   3     1     1     1     1   I was disappointed with Kristen. She charged me for inquires as to her retention price, and didn't give me any help. She made me feel my case was significant. I would not recommend Kristen, she bills like crazy and offers no help RID: 196488
Click to report rating    7/17/17   1     1     1     1     1   Kristen seemed to be highly motivated with billing for everything, and boasting about how much she achieved. The reality is that she achieved very little except charging me a significant amount in my quest to negotiate reasonable access to my children. She often yelled, ordered me to simply follow her orders, and was generally abusive in all interactions. Of course, with the clock ticking, and limited funds evaporating, it was difficult to fire her in mid-course, thinking that her aggression might somehow result in something meaningful re: access. I already had joint custody but the ex-spouse was not respecting the access so this should have been a very reasonable and winnable case but she showed no interest in moving things forward quickly. Although not entirely surprised, I am disheartened that someone supposedly vested in "family" law could have such little regard for the rights and interests of children (and their parents). A really horrible experience! RID: 187770
Click to report rating    6/15/17   5     5     5     5     5   My divorce took 5.5 years so I'm pretty sophisticated in my understanding of family law. I've hired and fired all the 'well known' firms such as Niman, Epstein, MacDonald & Baker, but only after each extracted huge fees from me. Some firms just stink, as that's often a function of being overstaffed and under-caring. They see clients as their personal piggy banks. Some lawyers are not a good fit for their clients, and frankly, some clients are not a good fit for anyone. Kristen Normandin is truly amazing. She is a strong, knowledge and strategic advocate who will work tirelessly for your best possible outcome, treating you like a valued human being all the while. She is logical, incisive and effective, and judges appreciate her approach. Kristen is worth every cent she charged me, and I only wish I hired her before all these other clowns as she put my divorce on the rails, got to trial and scored a huge win fairly and skillfully. She's a remarkable gem among coal. RID: 186234
Click to report rating    11/1/12   1     1     5     1     1   Initially impressed by her fortitude, in the end, I agreed to conditions which, in retrospect, were not in the best interest of my child. Emotionally difficult separation with many financial complications - years later my children still pay the price for decisions made during that time. RID: 94210
