'Talks good game until actually retained. Despite extensive prior communication from client (and assurances from office staff),did not obtain needed case continuance and did not really contest "failure to appear" capias being issued and extradition from NC being implemented. Left client in jail ten days on "failure to appear" without attempting bond or communicating with client.'Not present when client taken to court for advisement. Finally presented plea deal on actual charge (at jail) but without full details,later added on in court. Overall, seemed very lackidasical about client's case.Brunswick County positions itself as a "hang 'em high" county, and this attorney seems to have adopted "go along to get along" relationship with the prosecutor to avoid making waves and maintain "safe" practice. 'Would have been as well off with court-appointed attorney, maybe better.'Not a 'zealous' representative of client's interests, in my opinion.
