I have worked with Doug on MANY cases over 15 years as a support on difficult and complex problem solving. I have also worked with at least 20 other lawyers in the same role. Doug is by far the best of all of those lawyers. His legal knowledge is superior, and although pricier than some, value for your $ 's is there. Some of the bad reviews I read tell me more about who wrote them than what their negative comments. He does not put up with nonsense with clients that are manipulative or off base on what their expectations are of the law. He can seem abrasive and uncaring sometimes, and his personality could easily throw some people. What I know is that he works very hard for his clients and really cares that they get the best of often a bad situation. He is often dealing with people who are under high stress, not really themselves and trying to make big decisions for their life with less than normal emotional stability. Read the negatives keeping that in mind. Doug is very good.

I was referred to Mr. King by several of his clients I had seen two lawyers who told me my case was hopeless. Mr. King listened carefully and told me the strengths and weaknesses of my case. He gave me very strong advice, not what I wanted to hear. I followed his advice and as the case progressed things started going my way. Mr King was like a life coach in many ways. His advice was very wise. We went to court and won the case. My spouse had to pay costs. When we were in court other lawyers were asking Mr. King advice on their cases and the judges listened carefully to what Mr. King suggested and amost always agreed with what he requested happen. By the end of the case I had so much better relationship with my kids and my spouse. Face it all lawyers are expensive but I got a lot of value for my money. If you want to tell a lawyer what to do and blame your spouse for everything then Mr. King is not the lawyer for your. I am so glad I got Mr King for my lawyer.

Doug King did a very poor job of communicating. When he realized poor results did not take any responsibility. Did not remember the details of my case but bled me for $10,000. Did not care about the results of his lack of interest. An order that is unenforceable and a single mother who has no support.

Without prejudice - I found Doug King, and his attitude a waste of time. During the consultation, he was rude, cynical abrasive, and degrading. He charged me a fortune just to find that out. I was glad to escape!!

showed up late no apology falling asleep whilst listening to info appeared bored. Cut meeting short as he had another appointment my hour turned into 15 mins with instructions to reschedule!!!

Doug did a great job for me. He asked the right questions to get needed evidence in disclosure to cinch the case. The other side gave up. I kept waiting for another bill at the end but it never came. A very pleasant suprise.

Get Doug King on your side if you can. In court he makes strong logical arguments. Other lawyers respect him. He used his skill to negotiate an excellent settlement. He worked with me when I needed time to put a retainer together and was very compassionate.
