Great lawyer! Has helped me with a long list of legal issues in real estate and otherwise. Family law can be a messy thing and emotions often run high between two people who are going through a separation or a divorce. My guess is most of these negative reviews come from people who don't fully understand legal proceedings, and perhaps didn't get the financial outcome they hoped for regarding alemoney or asset division. Rose truly wants to help her clients and has in fact done a lot of free legal work for many of them. Unfortunately, like I said divorce can bring the worst out in people and lawyers often become the lightning rod.

I am a child of a client who used Rose as a divorce lawyer. Rose “represented” my mom. This woman is a master of manipulation. She preys on women who are going through some of the toughest times in their lives, convincing them she has their best interest in mind only to rip them off. For a woman to prey on other vulnerable woman takes a special kind of evil in my opinion. Not only did she steal money from my mom, she also called me on multiple occasions to try and put a wedge between my mom and I as I was advising my mom not to listen to her. She even tried to put our family cottage in her name so she could take it from us. These are only 2 examples among many. The damage this woman caused my family is irreparable. I truly believe that every suggestion she makes to her clients is solely for her benefit and not in the best interest of her clients or their families. She will stop at nothing. Please do not use her, not only for your sake but for the sake of your children and your assets.

We had her in 2003 to work my divorce. She screwed up our paperwork so bad that when we went in front of judge he laughed at her for being so disorganized. He asked her if she knew what she was doing and that this wasn't the first time she did mistakes like this. We fired her right there. She says she knows what she is doing but doesn't. Then her computer system failed and she lost everything we had with her. She tried to bill us for stuff she never did so I told her to itemize everything for me to see. That was the last we heard from her. I represented myself after that, got things done faster and way cheaper. I recommend everyone represent themselves, the judges seem to know the law and you have nothing to lose except lawyers fees. Do your homework.

This is the worst lawyer EVER!!! I came to her to help me because my husband had frozen our family funds and I was a stay at home mom, and out of no where, found myself in the very middle of a nasty divorce!! When I asked her why my husband was so upset, (as he had been out of the house for months) and that this seemed as though it was a divorce, she confirmed that it was!!! How was I supposed to know she had entered documents for a divorce, when I never asked for one and the word was never at any time ever even mentioned. She should be disbarred!! A Psychopathic Lunatic!! She ruined my life and my children's lives!!! She should be in PRISON. ..and I had to pay for this. When I complained to the law society, she lied to them and absolutely nothing happened. More people need to complain to the law society about her and get her disbarred!!

Awful lawyer!!! We hired her to close our real estate deal. She told us that she looked for liens against the home we were buying and she said that there were none. Later we received $12,000 in liens or bills that she failed to find. She offered to work on fixing the problem for $400 per hour. We have caught her in many lies and on average it takes her about 5 days to return your phone call. I wish I had of taken the time to read the reviews here as it would have saved me lots of time, money and stress. I am in the process of filing a complaint with the Law Society of Upper Canada.

Rose has been my lawyer for many years. As a matter of fact, I first went to her when she was just beginning her practice (from her apartment) near the college. From day one,Rose has been accessable,friendly and helpful. She has taken time after hours to make time for whatever crisies has come up in my life. I have always felt fortunate to have her as my lawyer and am happy to see her becoming so successful.

After reading some of the negative comments I was surprised! She is by far the most savvy lawyer who actually does care about her clients. Anyone going through a divorce like I am knows that it takes time and MONEY to get through everything. As for all these outlandish claims of costs (and mind you I'm going through a divorce) I haven't experienced anything like that, but I also don't try to run a tab, like most people do, and therefore they're surprised in the end. She has given me exceptional advice and because of this everything is running smoothly. She helps guide someone through one of the toughest things in their life, with sincere care. I would recommend Rose Adams to anyone going through a divorce. She will be there to back you up 100%! Thanks Rose!

Why is it that every story you hear of a divorcing family has the husband “taken to the cleaners”and the wife and kids left devastated and “penniless”? Probably because that is how many feel after legal costs and having to divide what took many years to build up. The sad reality is that Divorce hurts! Fact of life:most families are not better off financially, after divorce.BUT with Roses help and her resources in the community she has (phsychologists, family counselors, financial coaches, etc.) to refer you to and help you. Rose helps make this transition much easier than it could be. I have referred several people to Rose for separation counsel; and have used her real-estate services myself. I trust her, and am glad she is in my corner! JM

I've used Rose several times over the past 10 years. Once for a family law matter and several times for real estate transactions. I've found her to be respectful of my time (didn't keep me waiting). When there was a concern, she was quick to look for a resolution and open to communication which is really a quality that I admire and appreciate. My experience with Ms. Adams has been very good. She has met with me many time's on short notice, or none at all. My email's and phone calls were returned in a reasonable amount of time. In a very difficult situation it was uplifting to have someone involved that showed sincere compassion and integrity regardless of the outcome. Her support staff and assistants are very professional, accommodating and friendly. I would certainly recommend her and her firm.

Unbelievable, like the other person said run. I also am considering reporting her to the law society. She does nothing but make empty promises and create drama. 0ne year 28000 later, nothing done even my finacial statement is wrong. As far as I am concerned she has no business being a lawyer.

I made the mistake of not asking for an estimate first, as I had done a much, much easier version of the same legal transactiion with another lawyer. I was charged 400% more than when I transfered a new title to my name , vs. the one she did for me , and I already co-owned the place so the seach was so easy. Worst part is that she totally missed that I paid the ex for half a house AND I paid her an additional $75,000 because my exs lawyer included me paying her the amount of the remaining mortgage ? She either never read it or didn't bother. I'm carrying that loan & I will lose my home because of this. She will also feign friendship to g ain trust/money. Buy " Law For Dummies" instead. Same end result but much cheaper.

RUN! I hired this lawyer a year ago and she did nothing for me except make me promises she did not keep! She lied, broke promises, and cancelled/re-scheduled appointments on me all the time because she failed to do her job! It was a total nightmare! This was a complete waste of my time and my children's time! Furthermore, she is rude to her staff! Please to those of you reading this, I am a good person and I do not want this to happen to you and your children. It was that bad I am still contemplating reporting her to the Upper Law Society. And yes to the comments above, her accounting and bill practices are atrocious! I never got a bill until 8 months later-probably thinking I would forget the exact amount of time she spent with me/or when so I could not dispute it. RUN RUN RUN. You have been warned....At the end of the day-I hired another one and got all my money back!

Rose Adams is a terrible lawyer. She creates drama through at ton of useless letters and delays your file to make more money. She claims to never receive emails and says that she lost your documentation. In my opinion she has a great process going. She convince's and totally befriend's her clients by creating a false friendship with the intention of having them move out of their matrimonial homes and into her 4 plex fully furnished apartments so she can collect her short term monthly rent. I caution everybody thinking of using her and make sure you get a statement of account and keep her accountable. Good luck.

Think long and hard before using this lawyer!!, Do your research. If you do decide to go with this lawyer demand up to date invoices and monthly statements, her accounting is atrocious.
