David is a lawyer who is all about himself. He doesn't listen to your needs. When speaking to him on the phone, he was constantly trying to get off the phone. He made many mistakes on motions -- which required further communications and more money. David can be VERY brash and yelled at me all the time. He simply can't control his emotions -- and then can become passive-aggressive saying things like "fine, I guess I'm just stupid". When in court, David was totally disorganized, and got confused in his questioning of witnesses. He remained my lawyer of record for 2 years, but In the end, David really hurt my case -- he refused to represent me when I had a probation violation, and wouldn't even take my phone calls unless I gave him another $25,000 on top of the $200,000+ I'd already paid him over the years. Then, he literally didn't show up for a court date, and I was out of luck having to get new lawyers at considerable cost to come up to speed on my case. DON'T hire David Betras!

I have nothing good to say about David. I lost a lot of money dealing with him. He likes to yell and scream at you. Always wants more money. Threatens jail time. Waited in the waiting room for 30 minutes for him to talk with you for less than a minute. Said I was going to jail for 2 years. I fired David (lost tens of thousands of dollars) got another attorney and got probation. The worst lawyer ever.

David's legal skills are pretty good, but he's terrible on the details. When given multiple items to take care of, you're lucky if he remembers to do the first item. It doesn't matter if he makes a list -- he'll lose the list. But the real issue is that he's just nasty and doesn't really have empathy or sympathy. I'm not sure if he has a heart -- it's too tied up in his ego. He'd tell me of what a bad day HE had, and take it out on me, when I was the one in jail !!! Yes, I did get out of jail, in just a few months -- no thanks to David. Look -- put simply, the guy is an ego maniac. He literally told me he has to win every argument, and I don't mean legal ones. I mean every single discussion or argument. Even the Guards in jail, after I met with him and he's scream at me for an hour (why, I don't know) asked me why I dealt with him. I had no choice, and to get another lawyer would have cost me tens of thousands.

the worst attorney to ever hit youngstown ohio! never cared to handle my case the right way, and when i called to ask about my case i received no "response'!! and just recently they dropped me for no reason at all.. with no explnation and no empathy! what kind of a law firm is this?? Well to me a bunch of liars and people that do not know what it means to care about the rights of a person! I beileve they need a reality check on how to treat people!!
