Over a period of 3 years I felt as if I was Dale's part-time job. Very expensive rate and billed $75.00 for every email he received or sent, often unnecessary emails seemed redundant. Over 3 years I was charged 1/2 the cost of a Tesla until I tired of the long stall and went to another lawyer who finished my case for $2,000 in 6 months. I'll think twice before I hire an "Uptown" lawyer again.

Drags on the case as long as he can so his ransom amount can stack higher & higher. Won't respond to emails or phone calls. How indecent to treat your clients like this and still keep a job. Please wisely chose your lawyer or you'll cry for a long time

A lengthy process riddled with delays, was considered by myself as most difficult. Very unsatisfactory dealings and outcome. it is my feeling the aggravations of dealing with this man exceeded the stress of the actual divorce itself. Given the opportunity again, I would personally not utilize this person again.

Dale Tumbach took over my divorce after 4 years into it. Within a year and a half of him taking over I was divorced and it was a FAIR DEAL for both of us. He usually returned emails/calls on the weekend if it was not a serious concern. But if it was important I got a response from him before the end of the day. As my case was ending he was completely there for me! I knew that he was working for me. He has knowledge on how a business runs and he knows accounting (great for people who are going through a divorce and have a business). He is honest, has integrity, easy to talk with and listens!

Sporadically seeking Mr. Tumbach's expertise for close to 30 years, starting with a divorce. He is very personable and knowledgeable, but tends to skim over the negative in people, seeking the positive or fake, including opposing counsel and client. He is TERRIBLE at returning calls and responding to questions. An example of lack of attention to detail: during the fall 2018 postal slow down/strike, his office received notification that we were being named in a suit brought forth by an unhappy employee. There was a deadline for us to respond before it went to judgment. Dale's staff did not call us but MAILED the notification, which we received AFTER the judgment, and, since we had not responded, the judge found in favour of the plaintiff, freezing our company bank account. This was reversed, of course, by another lawyer who successfully sued the former employee for malice. Tumbach's lackadaisical attitude cost us $$$ and impacted upon our reputation. I would not recommend him.

Dale's strategy is simply to bully and drag things out as long as possible. He keeps threatening to go to court. He gets to your file when he has time. He goes through discovery so both lawyers collect their $15k. By the time the court date arrives, both parties absolutely hate each other and settle.The only guarantee that you have if you use Dale is that your EX will absolutely despise you. While that works for Dale for he will never see you or your EX again. Not so great for you. You will regret it!! If you have kids, think Xmas, vacations, weddings, mutual friends. Some day you will need a break from the EX. Dale can's comprehend this. Compromise and agreement are not part of his vocabulary. Any gain you think you might get from Dale's antics you will pay back to Dale as legal fees. His focus it strictly on the cash, and only his cash, not yours. No morales, no conscience.

I have nothing but praise for Dale. He is a committed, dedicated, extremely hard working lawyer who practices with high ethics and a gentleman's manner. I recently completed divorce proceedings which took over 5 years (most prior to retaining Dale) and culminated in a trail. Dale was diligent in assisting me to resolution and always responded to opposing council with professional courtesy and respect despite the fact that opposing council was rude, difficult to deal, and significantly lacked necessary skills. Dale's legal knowledge is exceptional and his ability to keep discussions focused on pertinent issues and positive outcomes was exceptional. I appreciated his ability to keep me grounded on practical and legal matters when emotions, at times, took over. Opposing council made this exceptionally difficult in that there was an over-focus on emotions to the collective detriment of all parties. I would highly recommend Dale to anybody managing complex legal matters.

Dale ,hands down the best lawyer in Edmonton. Extremely intelligent, professional ,honourable and ethical. He will tell you upfront what will work and what won't. I agree he's a very busy lawyer, but would be worth your wait if you can get him.Seriously don't waste your time and money with lawyers who are nasty to deal with your opponents too. Dale is thorough professional when it comes to that. His knowledge actually scares people.

Successfully stood in court and finalized my divorce after seven years of separation. It took 15 months from the date I hired him to finalize everything. 3 previous Lawyers just wasted my time and money, spinning in circles for six years. (Rowand, Picard & Patterson). Dales, all business, professional, extremely Biz/Corp savvy, excellent office staff support. His rates are top level but worth every penny because he gets results!
