She overbills for the amount of work that is actually done. I had the displeasure of correcting her many mistakes, sometimes the same mistake repeatedly. I'd get unexpected bills. She was not trustworthy. I wouldn't recommend using her services.

I very much enjoyed working with Kathleen and Casey. We were able to build a plan even though I no longer live in AB. Very professional and very responsive to my needs.The level of support could not be surpassed and after sharing stories with other lawyer friends they were impressed that they spent the time to consider my ideas. I found Kathleen very to the point and professional. That is all I really want from my lawyer. Casey was a delight to deal with and very thorough with her information. I highly recommend to anyone that wants to be represented by a professional.

Kathleen and Casey are great, smart, practical, focussed, organized, etc. dont know if the other reviewers are confused or what. Kathleen and Casey are solid, professional, practical and look at big picture rather than most lawyers that just bill bill bill.

I am in complete disagreement with the other reviews here and to me it is clear that they were written by someone who does not even know Kate and what she does. I would like to set the record straight. I have known her for 20+ years and she is not only a great lawyer, but she is also a kind, caring and generous person. I know she volunteers her time giving free legal consultations to the homeless, indigents and low-income people. She received the pro bono attorney of the year award from the Santa Cruz County Bar Association some years ago. She has represented me many times over the years and I have always been more than pleased with the results. I would highly recommend her to anyone who needs representation in the context of a violation of civil rights.

She is the worst lawyer ever. Promises that she'll get you everything you ask for and she never does. Very forgetful and she's only after money. Doesn't realy pay attention at all.

She talks a lot of talk about all the things she can get you and how for sure the Judge will rule a certain way and then doesn't follow through. Poor communication and is more interested in your money than your case. She makes mistakes constantly and charged us for her mistakes to be fixed. She is very forgetful in court and is very scattered outside of it. We have spend thousands of dollars and gotten zero results. She changes agreed upon affidavit information then submits it to the court. Very unimpressed! Save your money and avoid this one!!

Promised to get disclosure then obstructed and adjourned court appointments. Appeared to be favouring interests of ex-husband. Dishonest and threatening. Promised procedures and never came through. Spent all my huge retainer and then billed me without permission when no longer assiting me or working on my file. Did not return all information in my file.
