I have known Lou Simonetti for over 20 years, and he is a consummate professional and honest man. First and foremost, he is accessible and amenable to calls and emails which he returns promptly. He responds and is appropriately aggressive when called for. He explains every facet of our work and finally the billing process is more than fair. His entire practice is run well, and you can expect to be treated with deep respect. No matter the course of your case, you can rest assure that it will be handled properly.

Worst law firm I have ever used! My experience with this firm was so HORRIFIC that I am filing a complaint with the New York State Bar. If that doesn’t scare you enough from hiring them keep reading.
I needed to take my ex-husband back to court for non-compliance with our divorce agreement. I came in from out of town to meet Lou Simonetti and told him time was of the essence because of the terms of my divorce. He talked a big game and appeared to take copious notes. The minute he received my large retainer check he quit communicating with me and instead when I called I was passed to an associate I had never met... highly upsetting as Lou told me he was handling the case himself and was now ignoring my emails.
I was told filing a petition with the court would take about a month. 5 MONTHS LATER I kept emailing and calling to find out the status of the petition (which I thought had been filed) with the court. When I asked for a copy of the petition they had none... because they had

I am not a person who offers reviews often, nor am I someone who feels inclined to do so after cursory service or intent. I am writing this review after a time in my life that has been filled with disquietude and sincere emotion. Louis Simonetti, Jr. and his staff have been the most professional, caring, competent and principled individuals one could hope to work with. Obviously, dealing with a law firm and the requisite features of a case contains many undercurrents of anxiety. Simonetti and Associates have been a respite from this position. From Antoinette in office management who never failed to offer insight and assistance, Charlotte M. Betts whose work ethic and sage advice never wavered and of course, Louis F. Simonetti, Jr., who encompasses not only supreme legal acumen but a courteous and accomplished counselor. Thankful that Simonetti and associates represented me during my divorce. I had many concerns and worries that Lou handled with the utmost professionalism and persistence while at the same time showing me the patience and compassion I needed at this horrible time in my life. I went to Mr. Simonetti after being strung along by my previous attorney for months as he did nothing on my case. Dealing with Simonetti and his office was like a breath of fresh air—everyone was easy to reach, effective at what they did, and most importantly, honest. After negotiating a favorable deal, the office refunded the balance on my retainer! No other attorney I know would have been so honest, but it was obvious professionalism and integrity were big part of this firm. Very happy I went to them.

My wife and I were in the middle of a nasty divorce when I finally fired my old attorney and went to Lou. It was one of the best decisions I've ever made. He was tough in court and handled all of our crazy issues with ease. It was clear his experience in dealing with these matters was one of his best attributes. Lou kept his promises, never let me feel intimidated or uncomfortable, and was extremely fair with his price. I am forever grateful for his advice, service, and generosity!

Mr Simonetti does not return phone calls on a consistent basis. He is extremely moody, so if you call him more then once with different variations of a question, he gets rather annoyed. Often his office will call at the last minute to reschedule an appointment stating that he is in court. However he is in his office with another client. Judges and fellow attorneys do not like him as he can be very unprofessional in chambers.

Could not be more happy with the service and results I got from Lou! He was professional, honest, and easy to reach. Although my divorce was a contentious one, I felt confident every time I walked into the courtroom with Lou at my side. He fought hard for me and did not let the other attorney push me around. I would absolutely recommend him to anyone!

starts off less expensive than most attorneys, but costs quickly rise to the level of the best attorneys. not to bad when he is focused and not money hungry, otherwise, can be bullied in court by the other lawyers. needs to concentrate better on the case and not let other lawyers push him around. also, needs to realize that people work and cannot go to court all the time and then not even get to see the judge, then he bills you for court time and the judge was not even there nuf said?

Mr. Simonetti's firm handled my matter last year. I had a great experience. Not only was he attentive, but he and his staff were always available when necessary. I felt comfort knowing that my attorney was on my side. I would highly recommend this firm.

I hired Lou to represent me in a very contentious divorce. He was very attentive to my needs and explained everything to me in a way that I could understand what was going on. He has a fabulous staff. Deb and Antoinette couldn't have been more helpful. If you are looking for a lawyer who is going to fight for you Lou is the attorney you are looking for.
