The office will dodge your calls, on the rare occasion she actually calls you back she will start the conversation with “this has to be quick I have other things to do”. Gets annoyed when you ask her questions and as soon as you don’t agree to what she wants her mood completely changes. She tricked me into agreeing to a settlement I didn’t want, advised that if I didn’t she would be letting me go as a client, guess what? An hour after I signed those papers she did it anyways. She’s disgusting. Costed more than 10k in legal fees to get no where and tried to put my child in harms way. She is being reported to several different law society’s hopefully someone revokes her ability to practice law. I do not recommend her, find someone better with the some skills in communication.

Does not follow process. Is responsible for dismantling our family. Took the ex’s word and assumed she was an accurate assessor of our home. She is gross. Should not be allowed around children she participated in alienation by telling said child he doesn’t have to follow the court order. No emotional intelligence. Biased from the start.

Unprofessional. Condescending. Bias. Does not follow process. Should not be allowed to interact with children as she is not an assessor. More damage then good. No critical thinking. Superficial at best. Was willing to argue a child be removed from our home without talking to us. Gross.

Great to work with and very well informed. Was uneasy at first about using a lawyer going through a separation but was easily one of the best decisions I made to work with Tanya.

Ms. Farkouh-Martin was easy to get ahold of when needed but I wasn't happy with her work. Since hiring her, I've been asked by 2 judges why I don't have sole custody of my son (she advised me to go with shared custody) and my mom (who's a school teacher) had to explain to her that just because I have primary care, doesn't mean only I get to be in charge of who picks my son up from daycare/school. She argued with my mom about it! Luckily I listened to my mom and got it added in the court papers anyways! My ex and I had even discussed a few things before court so we didn't have as many things to argue over while in court and when I told Tanya to add them in the papers, she said "well if I was his lawyer, I wouldn't let him sign this".. Like, cool? Good thing you're not his lawyer then!? I wouldn't recommend her.

We delayed our process in a month both to booked an appointment with her. After 1.5h talk and listen to all information we had, she ended meeting declining our case because conflict of interests... seriously?! Telling us that after listen and check all our paperwork?? Not professional....

Very bad experience working with Tanya. She was very unprofessional, she was winking at the opposed lawyer. I was very disappointed with the ending results

Thank you! Mrs. Farkouh was the easiest lawyer I've worked with. I work with many lawyers in my professional life and she is an expert in her field. I can't say enough how grateful I am for her work.

If you want any kind of result, you are betting off representing yourself...otherwise prepare to pay a lot of money and have nothing to show for it if you use her.
