First she took my case and a large sum of money, then told me after I'd spent a lot on her that she couldn't help me. Then I convinced her to stay on and we went to case counsel where it was obvious from the judge that I had a very strong case and she said it couldn't have gone better. Then in an effort to save some money I negotiated an agreement with my ex that we were both ok with and she kept advising me not to sign it even though I was happy with it. Kept asking for further retainers when all I wanted was to end my situation and move on. Refused to let me finalize the agreement even when I TOLD her I understood what I was signing and was ok with it. I felt held hostage by her in order for her to bump up her fees and I STILL don't have an agreement because she refuses to let me sign it!! I can't imagine a worse lawyer. My kids are older and I just wanted to move on and it seems like any money I will get will end up in her pocket.

Her knowledge was severely lacking. I thought at times she was on the other team. She often would not listen to my concerns. If there is someone you do not like suggest them to Sarah.

I was referred to Sarah Thurmeier when I was looking to obtain sole custody over my daughter. Sarah was always prompt in responding to my phone calls and emails. She showed a genuine interest and value in my case and helped me obtain sole custody in a quick timely manner. Forever grateful for her time and work!

Ms. Thurmeier handled my legal separation case last year. Even though the process took much longer than anticipated, she remained thorough and tenacious throughout. She was sympathetic to my situation and also counselled me through what needed to be done for the sake of my case. Her responses to emails and phone calls were prompt and she was able to answer all of my questions. I was completely satisfied with Ms. Thurmeier as my lawyer.

When my first lawyer moved to another province, I needed to find a divorce lawyer whom I could trust,was efficient,and knowledgeable in all facets of family law....I chose Sarah Thurmeier. Sarah was on time for meetings,(even accommodating to my work schedule), answered phone calls promptly, and never rushed to answer my many questions. She was quick and to the point and was not intimidated by the opposing council. Not only did Sarah excel in her area of expertise, she was definitely an advocate for me during this most difficult and challenging transition in my life......D.M

She been great. She honest, understanding and isn't afraid to tell you if your wrong. She responds promptly, and if she doesn't know an answer she will look it up. I can say that she wants the best for your kids.
