He's afraid of the judge and intimidated by apposing council. After a hearing, I actually had another attorney who was observing tell me to "get someone else, its like you don't have any representation". My new lawyer asked what Chis' strategy was and I said, "Strategy? He did mention being afraid of ruining his career. I think his strategy was to get the other attorneys to stop making fun of him (not kidding). He lost every motion he made. And when he loses, be blames it on his client. Really he should be getting experience in someone else's firm. He just doesn't have the knowledge to run a case on his own. Smith charges regular rates which makes him an expensive dude to have call to yell at you and give you bad advise. Your plumber can do that. Also, watch what you tell him. He's a gossip, and when your gone, he is will to run his mouth about your case all over that courthouse. RID: 95050
Click to report rating    8/7/12   5     5     5     5     5   Mr. Smith is the attorney you want if you're looking for a man with integrity. He would tell you he gets too emotionally involved in his cases but what else would an attorney do when he genuinely cares about his clients? I know he researches my case on the weekends and I know he doesn't charge for this extra work. He constantly studies. A great attorney knows there is alway more to learn because the law is always changing. His priorities are getting his client justice and making sure he isn't fleissing them in the process. My case is emotion-fueled and complicate. Mr. Smith knows this and shows extreme compasion. Mr. Smith's priorities are listening to his client's needs and make things right no make how high the deck is stacked against him. In my experience, he is a true advocate for women and children. (Please know I am an actual client and I write this now because those in need of a great family law attorney need to look at Chris Smith Law.) RID: 84597
Click to report rating    1/11/12   4     1     1     1     1   Mr. Smith was my lawyer for a child custody case. He was terrible at getting back to me when I had questions. He wasn't prepaired for my temporary order hearing. They charge you for every little thing they do. When his secretary sent me the judges orders in an email I was charged $50. If you call and ask a quick question he charges $50. They filed my case as if my ex and I were married which I specifically stated we were not. We didn't find out about the error until the trial when the judge brought it up. Mr. Smith does more talking then he does listening. If you use him review all information before he sends it to the other lawyer. There were several errors in my paperwork. RID: 58614
