My brother died w/o a will in JUNE 2011. We went to the atty who made up my Moms Trust & paid him $2000 to do a probate & have my son put as the executor - as my brother had asked. He gave it to Clay w/o us ever meeting him. This should have been a simple probate. My brother had hospital bills from his death, a minor child, some used furniture & a home in another state (w/ a renter) that he had my Mom co-sign on. My Mom has dementia and I am the sole POA/Trustee for her. We asked if my Mom is legally responsible for the out of state house - Clay really couldn't answer & didn't try to find out. We contacted the other atty who was just as unknowledgable! It has been OVER 6 MONTHS. We just got a bill for an additional $278. According to the charges we should have a CREDIT of $1385. I called to discuss it w/the billing person only to find out that it's Clay's wife & there is NO email or phone # to contact her! He will not return phone calls or emails & still no paperwork! STAY CLEAR!
