Mrs Ostwald purposely forced our case into a long and costly Arbitration -that is why I give the poorest rating.Didn't even follow the mediation guidelines on her own company's website (i.e: Mediation Process)

She is such an ineffective lawyer and mediator that she caused our case to go into Arbitration. Her writing, including correspondence from her assistant was so bad each person's letters conflicted each others.She sent documents to my ex's lawyer - totally unethical let alone unprofessional. Had to request clarification of her writing in the Arbitration Process several time. The list goes on. Just search for any other person to work for you.

Krysta was my divorce lawyer for only a few months. She fired me after I expressed my concern that she or her assistant disclosed confidential information to opposing counsel. She told a good marketing story to lure me in, but was very disorganized, had no apparent plan, and didn't advance the file in any meaningful way. At one point, she informed me that "every day is chaos" when I asked her why no progress had been made. That's a pretty disturbing admission for a client to hear. I gather she prefers clients that aren't accustomed to dealing with competent lawyers.

Even though I may have to continue the Arbitration process with Ms Ostwald, I do not believe that she can inflict any more damage on me or my children than she has, I feel that if I can prevent the outcome I had, then it is worth it. Not only was Ms Ostwald incorrect at law, & incorrect in her restating of the facts, she was biased & prejudicial. Be very careful in handing Ms Ostwald the discretion of deciding your future. You can place the truth, provable facts and evidence in front of her and it will not matter. Do not be fooled by her friendly disposition or kind manner. If you are a woman fighting for yourself and your children, dealing with a dishonest spouse, please do your research & find another mediator/arbitrator. Do not believe for one second that Ms Ostwald has the skills, the discretion or the moral compass to decide fairly. This is not simply because a decision was made that was not in my favour. I write this because her faulty decision was biased & unfair.

Krysta Ostwald was rarely available, made ridiculous assumptions and actually accused and attacked me as her client instead of first asking if the allegations against me were even true. She had absolutely no knowledge or understanding of high conflict personalities and the person she had assisting her with legal matters was completely inept. The best way I can describe my experience with Krysta was that she was very successful at helping the other side. When I changed counsel, my case took an immediate turn for the better in just a few meetings.
