My whole life changed after I met Sumit Ahuja. I am amazed at the perseverance Sumit took at exposing the truth of what was happening in my life in the court room. Through Sumit's caring and hard work I was allowed equal access to my two beautiful children almost overnight. As time went on dealing with constant court applications from the other side who wanted to take the little time I had with the children away, Sumit began fighting harder to expose the truth of what was happening. I met Mr. Sumit Ahuja in December when my children's case was in hopeless situation. I was frustrated, desperate and was in fear to lose my children because of previous representations by other lawyers and poor system. After hire Sumit, my case completely turned around and now we have won the case. In straight words, If you need justice for truth, just go to Sumit rather than waste your time and money anywhere else. He is just like a storm which can change the place of things when comes. Please disregard the previous two ratings by my angry ex-wife. Sumit Ahuja just finished a lengthy trial for me that my ex would not let end. My ex-wife is a bully and is now incredibly angry at the outcome, lashing out in every way she possibly can, she has no control and has been reporting professionals in my family matter to their regulatory bodies and writing false reviews everywhere. My ex-wife's posting of a decision from the law society has NOTHING to do with her. The law society hearing is over and Sumit is still rotating tables in the courtroom. I am so grateful for Sumit and all his talent and hard work he put into my case that got my children back with me full time. My advice is to interview Sumit among several lawyers before you make a life changing decision in the courts. In my opinion from personal and costly experience: Sumit is the best lawyer you could find because he is a true warrior and not afraid of anyone in the courtroom, and HE WILL FIGHT FOR YOUR RIGHTS!

I was already a year and half into a horrific legal battle with regards to child support & guardianship for my son when I met Sumit. I was mentally & emotionally drained, and was ready to give up the day I walked into Sumit's office. Sumit is a unique and rare individual. Once you meet him, you will understand why. We just had a Emergency Court Hearing to fight for denial of parenting rights. We feel so blessed to have Sumit representing us. He has our little girls best interest at heart which is very reassuring since she does not have a voice in all of this. Sumit is very knowledgeable of the system and confident in his craft. He always makes sure to keep us informed on every detail of the process which we truly appreciate. This process albeit stressful, would be even more so if we had just any lawyer. Having Sumit on our side makes us have no doubt that we will see the best, most fair outcome in the future of this case. Sumit really knows his legal crafts. You can't find a better lawyer in my opinion in the lower mainland not to mention in BC. He understood my file and took care of everything in such a timely manner that I'm grateful to him. He has a great team as well who are very helpful and do things as requested. During my time with him he became such a close and good friend of mine that we refer business to each other as well as our chemistry was there. But if you want a peace of mind and be stress free he is your guy...I can not recommend him enough as he is the best. So do yourself a favor and hire him and be stress free. He will always tell you what's the best possible outcome and worst and always gets you the best based on your circumstances. Pick him pick him pick him and you will win. I had a lawyer before him who was a senior lawyer and all he did was milk me for money. I switched over to Sumit and he was economical and efficient with the effects I wanted. God bless him.

Mr. Sumit truly went out of his way in helping my son with his legal battle regarding my grandson. Showing all of us what we could do legally as per custody, without causing any strain or disruption to the child. He has always made himself available for any questions from my son or the family. I never thought that a lawyer could or would do as he has done for my son, and truly rates the service award of 110%.

Mr.Sumit Ahuja is the best lawyer anyone can have! During the last four years and having to change two lawyers that could not assist in having help my children and complex family/divorce case. I thank god that Sumit was on my side. All other lawyers would not take my complex case but Sumit stepped in and helped me attain Justice that took four long years. Those years were the darkest days of my kids and my life. After my Ex transferred all our properties and left the children and I high and dry. The last two lawyers made everything feel like a downward spiral. If it wasn't for Mr.Ahuja I would not have my children now and the light at the end of this tunnel show. This man's arrogance supersedes anything he could possible do for you. One conversation we had he said exactly what my ex's lawyer said. 'He will never get into the housing market again'. This says he was being influenced by the other lawyer. Hmm I paid for the house, why would he even have a house. Don't trust this man. He lies, manipulates, and only wants to rack up billing hours. How many firms does he have to go through for any firm to realize he isn't worth losing the firms reputation. How costly this was. Don't ever hire Sumit Abuja for help. By the way, I believe any positive post on here is done by his family and friends.

To be authentic about this, people have a lot of choices and of all the lawyers available, Sumit Ahuja is and always will be my only choice!
What is important to me is someone who cares, listens and validates my concerns. Sumit does this and continuously reassures me, puts my mind and ease and walks me through the process step by step. He is talented and compassionate, there isn’t any better combination.
I do not want to go to court, but when it happens I am very grateful that Sumit is there to handle everything.

I am shocked at the number of positive reviews for Mr. Ahuja. He currently has one citation and is under disciplinary action before the BC Law Society. In matters of divorce and child custody, Mr. Ahuja's bottom line is winning not mediation (which is what should be done). In my experience he shows no regard for the children involved. He both argues and tries to erase a parent from a child's life. He writes boldfaced lies in his correspondence. He sometimes will not consult his client and will make a decision for the client. HIs correspondence is always sloppy and full of mistakes. He sends his client's affidavits without editing them. He is flippant in his correspondence. He also lacks the ability to think critically. If his client's goals are unrealistic he is very willing to proceed with those goals, perhaps because he can keep charging them and make money. While he claims to be an advocate for women, he has no problem being dishonest to his female clients.

Sumit handled my case very well. Considering that it was very difficult to deal with. I found out my wife was committing adultery. After this information was presented to me I tried to handle this matter as easily as possible for the sake of our 2 children. Unfortunately she was bitter that seperation was the only option of mine and she decided to make life very difficult from that point forward. I did not see my children for 6 months and everything else was falling apart at a slow but painful pace. That's when I took Sumit on and from that point on, I not only got my children back 50/50, we ended up settling this month that came extremely unexpected as we were set for trial in Oct 2017. I no longer pay child support or spousal support, got more percentage from our trust fund, divorced and have a huge weight lifted off my shoulder. As a father it is not easy in our court system but thanks to Sumit I have the opportunity to see my children on a set schedule & couldn't be happier thanks

Mr Ahuja represented me in court on March of 2017, for the first time and I was very impressed. Sumit is concise and very powerful with his words leaving no stone unturned. Sumit consistently pushed back on the opposing attorney and did not back down. Sumit was able to obtain my costs (which in most cases is quite rare). However with his professionalism and knowledge of the law, he was able to obtain my costs, along with having a positive outcome in our hearing. Sumit is extremely talented. I was referred to Sumit Auhja and I am so glad I was I dealt with false accusations and non-stop tactics to try to make me break or look very poor in the courts eyes.
Sumit always stayed positive and told me how things where looking and how things should pan out along the way
We got to know each other very well, He really pays attention to even the smallest details. That’s what made be really believe in him.

I hired Sumit Ahuja for my divorce case, in the beginning he spoke and said the things i wanted to here. However, when it came down to delivering the action in court, he was unexperienced, not prepared, and the way he works is 100% pure hit and miss. Avoid this scamming money hungry lawyer, he is certainly not looking out for the best interest of his clients. He is all talk but no bite. Save yourself and your money, and don't get duped by this clown. It is obvious, and apparent that he himself submitted most of reviews on this website, he must really have too much spare time on his hands. Words fall short for the gratitude and respect I have for this man. It was truly a blessing to come across him. Somehow he lifted my heaviest of burdens and carried them like a feather. I had lost all faith in our system,in lawyers in general,and was on the verge of having no choice but to give up my fight. My divorce is a highly complex lengthy detailed nightmare involving children and everything else under the sun. Many highly recommended people had already taken a crack at this and apart from huge bills,I gained nothing but more problems. Things got progressively worse until Sumit. He is like none other. This wasn't just a job or a file, he took this on as if it was his own life. He gained control of the situation like I have never seen anyone do before. My family and I hired Sumit Ahuja for our Family Law lawyer. Previously we had hired other lawyers for this custody battle concerning my 5 year old daughter, and we were disappointed on both occasions. Once Sumit was on board with us, everything seemed to fall right in place. We were fighting against a very inconsistent and expensive section 15 report done by a registered clinical forensic psychologist that would have seen me losing more time with my daughter. I had my daughter on a 1 week on and 1 week off rotation for approximately 15 months and the recommendations of the section 15 were that my daughter should be with me about 28% of the year. Mr. Ahuja changed all of that around and I now have my daughter about 42% of the time and on July 1, 2014 my daughter and I will be back to spending 1 week on and 1 week off with each other. I was charged and arrested for assault. A friend of mine recommended that I contact Mr. Ahuja. I contacted him immediately. I have never had any involvement with the Judicial system prior to this situation. I had no clue of my rights and what Mr. Ahuja was so helpful in guiding me through the process. He explained to me what would happen when I was to be interviewed by police. He told me what my Charter rights are. He then appeared for my bail hearing and I was released. He was very honest with me through out. He always did what he said he would. He kept me apprised of the process. His strategic planning was amazing. He executed everything we had planned. We scheduled a trial. The week before the trial, all charges against me were stayed. I was amazed. Mr. Ahuja is a great lawyer.
