I got into a car accident in January 2011 in Federal Way, WA. The liability of the accident was not immediately obvious, which is why I hired Gerald Chase from Chase and Weil, LLP of Portland, OR because we lived in Vancouver, WA at the time.Based on how the situation turned out, when Mr. Chase agreed to work on my case, he did not anticipate to do lawyers work, he anticipated to organize paperwork, which took him a year. As soon as he discovered that the case requires work, he dropped it. He did not break any laws or violated the contract, but he did not do his job either. The unfortunate part of the story is that he comes out of this situation being right, and I am coming out with 10,000$ in medical bills and no lawyer willing to work on my case, because as soon as one lawyer gives up, other lawyers refuse to even try. Based on my personal negative experience with Gerald Chase, if anybody needs a lawyer who will fight for them, I recommend searching elsewhere.
