Read the few poor ratings. Don't agree. My experience with Gary was excellent. Smart, attentive, caring and diligent. His team is dedicated and work hard. For those who disagree, I wonder if they chose to follow his advice. Family law is rough and Gary was trustworthy and spot on with my case.

horrible lawyer people do your homework before retsining this firm, they are crooks and will over bill you and hold your hand very nicely throughout the whole case until you are BROKE financially and then they will drop your case and say their farewell. LITERALLY. Every case this firm takes on goes DIRECTLY to trial mode to squezze every single penny you own and much much more. SHARK ALERT EVERYONE!!!! I am warning you stay away from this firm all together ... TRUST ME.......

Dear Gary, I wanted to extend a huge thank you for the professionalism your firm provided. My divorce is complete, for the most part. I have moved on from a very strong position. Terrible lawyer. If Gottlieb retains you, he will suck up all your life savings. Anything you wish to resolve in your legal matter, Gottlieb will take all your life's savings and assets without listening to what you want. In court, Gottlieb will win for you, but ruin you financially at the same time. Gottlieb will cause rifts in your legal matters to keep you returning to the machine-making costs by returning to court and re-hiring him. Gottlieb destroys your finances, and destroys everything you had hoped to achieve in your matter. Gottlieb is talented and could otherwise advocate for the best result, but he doesn't. He instead destroys his clients financially, destroys what you sought in your case, and destroys everyone in the case across the board. Just to keep his lifestyle enriched and in his order. He currently cares nothing for any party as he is self-interested. He is talented to a degree, but his use has been to serve himself. Beware.

The positive ratings are being posted either by Gottlieb or his staff. This lawyer is the worst. Very unethical and cannot be believed. Speaks negatively of opposing lawyer and their clients to rile you up.He will drain your pockets by letting you fight for unreasonable resolutions and will leave you high and dry when your money is done. Small man with nasal tone wearing blinkers.

The best and most trustable lawyer one can find! I am myself a lawyer with 15 years experience and can tell when a lawyer presents himself as highly skilled, dedicated and full with false promises that his potential client want to hear. Gary is in any aspect one of the best lawyers exist, has genius brain with super advocate skills. He knows any detail in your case, hands on at all times, gives you full and complete honest perception and top legal advice as to where your case stand, your rights and the ways to preserve your rights. His tactics are like a magician. He saved my case and brought it from worst case possible outcome to the best possible one. My divorce was a high conflict one and only when I hired Gary he succeeded to bring the true reality to the court. Only he can bring to shame and win an opposite spouse and or his lawyer if they constantly lie, manipulate or act maliciously. They recognize his capabilities and fear to face against him. Tabloid style doesn't work for me. Sensationalizing a divorce to make it seem like a game show in court only puts your kids on the line. Not a risk a prudent parent should ever consider. Beware of Gottlieb's catch-all phrase of billing for 'disbursements' Someone else rated Gottlieb on here and said he was a 'money extraction machine' and I believe that comment is absolutely true. I wish I never met him.

Gary should take an ethics course on family law. He ruined my family and drove up massive billings for no good reason. If you get a chance, go to the court and try to see for yourself him in action. The nasal pitch and smug demeanor accentuate his legal posturing drama.

I just got my child back and I have to highlight that Gary Gottlieb is THE most experienced attorney to go to. The matter is still on going, but Gary Gottlieb was there for me every single step. From fixing errors of other attorneys, to making sure that I have proof for every statement I made,to communicating in a very professional manner and standing up for my truth, I must say that Mr. Gottlieb , from my experience (and trust me, I have a lot of experience with lawyers), is the BEST attorney I can recommend in Family Law.

The poor ratings here are indeed correct. Gottlieb is unethical and should be avoided. Legal 'posturing' is his 'tabloid' style of doing business. He strings clients along by avoiding reasonable resolution. He tries unreasonable tactics even when he should know it cannot possibly work in court. He blames opposing lawyers but in the end it is most likely Gottlieb that is the problem. He may push for full custody even when it is unreasonable. This fuels disagreement which adds tension/cost/delay. He is content to have the parties behave acrimoniously and insists that only he can talk with the former spouse-adding to the billings. He prolongs clients by adjourning court dates-more billing/paperwork. The firm seems disorganized-the assistants don't appear to know what versions of drafts they are working on, further adding delay/cost. Listen to the other poor ratings on here and avoid the Gottlieb firm. I wish I had never heard of him as it would have saved me so much time, agony and money.

I read the other ratings with shock. Gary is diligent, intelligent and committed. He tells you the truth and lets you decide how to proceed with your case based upon recommendations he gives. He is reasonably priced for a lawyer of his vintage. When I went to court with him, it was clear that the judges and the lawyers knew him and respected him. He was convincing. He advocated with gusto and put the other side to shame! He represented me very well. He was patient and empathetic during a very difficult time for me. I would highly recommend him. Check out the cases he has won in the case reports. Lots and lots of them!

You know what? To be honest, this lawyer is VERY bad. If you want someone who doesn't listen to you, has no respect and someone who is not on your side, sure go to him. But I would not recommend him to anyone. I have had experience with him and trust me it's not fun. He tries to force you into doing something you don't want to do and he ignores your requests. He does whatever he wants. Not in the needs of his client. It's been almost one year. He did nothing. He doesn't care about what I say, what are my needs. He does the opposite of what I want and need. He will twist your words. That's what he did to me.

A $400 per hour money extraction machine. He drops most of the work on his associate and his support staff then really has no idea what is going on in your case. Go anywhere else.

He created false assumptions in his mind, and did not listen to us basically at all, interrupted whenever we started to talk implying he did not have any respect for us. Very unsatisfied and disillusioned. For around 300/h you would expect people could learn how to show more respect their clients more.
