Bill Parker is a , scam, useless, lier, not smart, useless as a lawyer. He will get you to sign a 500 page retainer agreement, take your money for retainer, charge you for every paperclip he uses and DO NOTHING! NOTHING, AND THEN SOME MORE OF NOTHIG.

My rating appears to have been removed. I used Bill Parker for my separation and spent thousands of dollars to no avail. In fact, I ended up in a worse position because of his blunders and focus on making money and overbilling. I wish I NEVER went to him in the first place. Once you enter his office, you will be sucked into his nonstop blathering and excessive invoicing. He even took me to small claims court when I contested his bill. Wm Parker is the kind of lawyer that gives the profession such a bad reputation. AVOID HIM LIKE THE PLAGUE

If there was a zero rating Bill Parker deserves a “0” for his unethical practices which include prolonging matters with no resolutions to gain extraordinary payments from both sides. This man has no morals or ethics in resolving matters amicably and in the best interest of all concerned. So much so that he’s okay will causing undue hardship towards children that is emotionally hurtful and unethical. To be blunt, he doesn’t give a**** about anyone but himself.

I would eco many of the comments on this page - Mr Parker is more focused on billing than doing a good job. While he seemed knowledgeable he also billed me significantly for "research". He was very receptive to calls and emails but then produced an alarming bill and when we questioned the hours he was very defensive. Having since used new council, it is clear that he over charged us for the work done. We would not recommend Mr Parker and we will not use him again.

Bill was a great asset during my divorce. He gave me valuable advice, cleared his calendar for me when needed and represented my interests in the way I expected an excellent lawyer to. I am very happy with the work he did and the cost, as well. To save me money, he agreed, at my request, to relinquish his role as my counsel to let me respond (instead of him) to the innumerable communications from my ex's lawyer that were designed to wear us down and cave to their terms. He was always available for legal advice during this time, too, usually with no charge. I am writing this review in response to the negative reviews I've seen on this site. These negative reviews do not at all reflect the quality of service you can expect from Bill Parker. I would not hesitate to hire him again for any legal matter. In fact, most recently, I contracted with him to draft my will. Again, I was very pleased with the work he did.

I hired bill For my very messy separation and I’m so thankful I did! Not only was he extremely knowledgeable, he was very easy to communicate with and always available to answer questions or put my nerves at ease. Watching Bill in the courtroom is astounding. I can’t give Bill and Hannah enough thanks for everything they’ve done for me and my children. if it wasn’t for them I’m quite confident the outcome of my separation would be different. I would highly recommend them to anyone and everyone!!!

All of the above BAD reviews are correct. He was my 1st lawyer when I got separated. I was naïve & vulnerable and he was useless!!!! My ex husband at one point went to his house in the evening pounded on his door while Parkers kids were at home, and Parker just let it go. If he can't even stand up for himself and his family, how can he stand up for you and yours?????

I have used Mr.Parker on a couple of occasions and have always found him to be the 'bar' of what a professional is. Mr.Parker and his staff have always kept me in the loop and makes sure I have all my options and understand 'legaleze'. On both occasions everything was handled efficiently and with my best interests at the head of the table. I have always felt comfortable with Mr.Parker and the trust that we built over 17 years is un-matched by anybody. In todays world where too many times people just 'mail it in' Mr.Parker knocks a lob ball into the 500 section.

Absolutely HORRIBLE lawyer. I could name his faults, but I'd only be mirroring what just about everyone says about him. I had a pretty uncontested divorce, (both of us agreed the house was to be sold, both of us agreed on Joint Custody for our child, etc.), but I ended up with a legal bill of over 100K for his 'services'. NEVER heard of a lawyer that seems to hate confrontation. Absolutely horrible, seriously considering going to the Law Society of Canada to appeal my incredibly over-inflated payment.

I would echo the comments on the December review. Very poor value. This is someone who focusses on billing and protracting a matter rather than solving it. He does not listen to direction, even in writing and throws together childish letters to come across as tough. He makes silly assumptions in his letter expecting the other party to agree which only cause to distance any settlement that may be achieved. He has no strategy plan and spends a lot of time thinking and doodling instead of using that time to effect a difference for his client. Stay clear.

Bill was my second lawyer, taking over a tough custody battle. My wife wanted to give me barely any time with the kids. He got me back on track, and argued well in Court, getting a great motion result. It resulted in a settlement. Great value.

Parker does not advocate for his clients, provides no sound advice, no overall strategy, frequently misses opportunities, and ignores direct instructions. He fails to call key witnesses, fails to effectively collect and craft affidavits, fails to meet important deadlines, fails to communicate in a timely manner, fails to forward critical documents, and engages in protracted he said / she said name-calling rather than providing a succinct and direct game plan for his clients. He is entirely reactive, not proactive, and the result is an enormous legal bill with no outcome whatsoever. Worst, he in no way advocates for his clients, which is the job of a family lawyer. Absolutely one of the worst lawyers I have ever encountered.
