Paul N. Schaefer took advantage of the fact I was out of state after I hired him to help me obtain legal guardianship for my mother, Lorraine Mae Evans whom resides in Florida. He quoted me $4500 prior to my signing his contract. After I signed his contract, I kept finding letters in my mailbox asking for more money. He lied to me about court dates; He misled me and didn't know the county regulations and rules for legal guardianship matters as he had stated. He lied about the hours he actually worked on my case and over charged me for work he didn't perform. When I asked him to account for the funds I sent... $5000... I obtained hand written SCRIBBLED notes which I could not understand or read!! This individual lied to me and misled me. I obtained more FREE information from other attorneys AFTER I fired Mr. Schaefer when I felt he bamboozled me for thousands of dollars. He's refused to refund me even though I asked. This man took me for an expensive ride!!
