I have a very high conflict case involving my children and my narcissist ex. I was gaslit, scoffed at, eye rolled at, and made to feel like I'm the bad one when there was PROVEN concerns regarding my kids safety with the other parent. She told me it wasn't as bad as I was making it out to be. (put kids in trunk of car and drove around the city). I wasn't aware that was legal Anne. Anyways, terrible lawyer. Don't buy the fake positive reviews. She has absolutely no empathy, compassion or brains to even comprehend emotions and pain. Other than causing it herself. Represent yourself before hiring this fraud lawyer.

I am going through a very hight conflict divorce we’re domestic violence and kids involved. Property matter is complex. Imputing income was required and so on. Not many lawyers understand this and so unable to help the way we deserve. Dealing with narcissistic and manipulative ex was not easy. Ms Anne was the only one who understood my situation and helped me. She is there to protect and fight for the rights. She is honest and really care for her clients. Not greedy like other lawyers who take the advantage of the situation. I find her very honest, strong and knowledgeable. I was going though so much stress but I feel so much confident and secure after I started working with this lawyer. She will fight for your rights. She is strong from outside but her heart is clear and she truly cares for her clients. This is the perfect combination of a good lawyer.

Anne is an amazing and incredible lawyer. She is very professional and has great knowledge of the law, how to interpret it, and how to apply it to your situation. I was very impressed by how accessible and focused she is; how she dealt with issues and concerns two previous lawyers could not solve or provide a fair result. Anne represented me in the most cost effective and timely manner. She is a smart, highly functioning lawyer who can see several steps ahead, resulting in a fair and reasonable outcome. I never thought I would ever write such a positive review for a lawyer. Anne is amazing!

Terrible, terrible, terrible! Very rude, Keeps the couple fighting to guarantee herself a continued pay cheque. She is not there to help you resolve anything quickly or fairly. Do not believe any of these positive reviews.

Without reservation I would highly recommend Anne McVea . She was professional, knowledgeable and dedicated throughout the process of seeking a difficult Mobility and Child Support Order. I highly recommend Anne McVea as a competent, diligent lawyer. She is caring but won't be led by extravagant emotion, would you? And her adherence to the law is what she will advise you on and this should reflect an unerring success. My long term marriage became abusive, full of "Trumpery" and difficult in separation. Ms. McVea was immediately responsive to me in all contact and in legal action. Legally I am now divorced but Ms. McVea is still dealing with issues not resolved by my husband and his lawyer. Now that is dedication to needy clients who might be overlooked by others.

Bad doesn't describe this lawyer...no where near that description...those "5" ratings and good comments she has, she probably put them up herself...very unhelpful, took forever to get back to me and when she did she was very rude. Did not work on my case properly and made up her own stuff expecting me to believe it just because she was a lawyer. She does not know her stuff. I would rather self represent going forward then hire her as a lawyer. Very rude and poor quality of work and service!

I had Anne as my family lawyer. I found her not willing to help me as much as she could have regarding my case considering I was on legal aide at the time. I wasn't given the time or day for my questions or input. I got absolutely no guidance from her. I was upset with the huge bill and lack of actual help.

I have had occasion to work with Anne, and I have found her conscientious, hard-working, and tenacious. She is a very strong advocate for her clients, while at the same time remaining open to reasonable alternatives to Court proceedings. As a lawyer myself, it was to Anne that I turned when I needed legal assistance (only a foolish lawyer acts for herself): her advice was spot-on, compassionate, and practical. Anne is an excellent honest lawyer. She works hard. Gets back to you very quickly. While she is a relatively new lawyer, she is very thorough and knows your file unlike many other lawyers that take on too many clients and really do not know or take the time to know your specific case. I had originally hired a much more expensive and experienced lawyer to handle my divorce. She did not take the time to even read my file before negotiations. I regret not hiring Anne initially. Anne gets back to you quickly, takes time to know your situation and will research areas to ensure she is giving proper advice. She is also not a supporter of lawyers hiring mediators or a third person (which is exceptionally costly) to settle a divorce. She believes that between 2 lawyers a settlement can be reached without the costly inclusion of a third party mediator. I would highly recommend her.

As a homeowner I knew nil about home insurance and when I had a flood I was not aware that home ins. covered this. Ms. MCvea was kind enough to help me and advise freely as to what needed to be done. Without this advice I would have been out of pocket a lot of money.

Anne was helpful and dependable. She took the time to understand the details of my unorthodox situation and explain my options extremely well. She has a valuable ability to look at the whole picture, and makes every effort to help on as many levels as possible. She not only created a requested contract for me but also brought my attention to other aspects of my life where I needed to strengthen my legal defense. Anne provided me with a variety of options - including referrals to other lawyers and professionals if she thought I needed them. There was excellent and prompt communication both day and night. Compared to other lawyers, she was reasonably priced and did not try to sell me any service I did not need. Overall, I was very happy with the results and will continue to recommend her to friends and family.
